Kohl's — Local services in Macon

I am not a shopper! I do not enjoy it, actually dread it. But I have to get a new pair of shoes or I will be barefooted before very much longer. My wife recommended that I go to Kohl's because, she said they have a good selection and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. When I got there the nice lady(because I didnt see her name tag) directed me to the shoe department. As I started looking for the shoe I wanted, realizing I have no Idea how to read these new sizes. I asked Jeannette to please come assist me when she finished with her current customer. When arrived to where i was looking she asked how she could help me? I explained that i like this show but do not see any wide. Which for anyone not familiar is now known as E or EEE. She started to explain that if i found my style but not my size, i could carry it to the Kiosk and order it. If i could wait wait for them. All confused, I said I dont understand kiosk? She said which style did you like. So she took that style and took me to the kiosk,( which for us old times would be the vending machine at the front of the shoe department. Walked me thru the process of finding out if I could order them. Then stuck with to help me get the ordered and payment made in store. And my shoes will arrive in 7-10 days. I dont like to shop as I said in the beginning! But Jeannette made this experience a very pleasant journey. Thank you Lord And Kohl's very much for allowing such nice people to interact with and help with something that I dreaded doing in the first place ...As for the order filling people, well ill be nice. they droped the ball, the package is lost and its going to take 7 days to get a refund so waste your time if you want. very nice people in the store but the online part lacks to much for me. i...

It is so sad to see a store with such potential and that used to be great go downhill. For at least two years, I have occasionally gone into Kohl's to look for girl clothes and left without anything. Most of the girls clothes are so strange looking that they're almost unrecognizable as girl clothing. There are no dress options and the only thing they seem to have that I can even recognize are workout clothes which is very strange. Why would an 8 year old girl need so many workout clothing if any at all. The home items are very cheap looking but come with a high price tag compared to comparable options and stores. The only reason I even enter the store is to make my Amazon returns and even with the free $5 coupon I still can't find anything to buy. My last trip I was looking for a church shirt for my son like a button down or a solid polo or something like that and there was absolutely nothing except the most casual of tshirts. It is no surprise to me that Kohl's Department store is not doing well. The store in Macon Georgia is near my home and I shopped there frequently to avoid the crowded shopping mall. A few Christmas' ago I bought some house shoes for my son . Then when he opened them they didn't fit so with my receipt I returned to the store to exchange them. There was none available in his size. I was told no credit could be given so I resolved to buy another item. I choose a sweatshirt. The clerk said I had to buy something in the men's shoe department. Well no credit, no item in another dept, no exchange unless it was "a man's shoe". Well I talk to clerk and store manager and was advised store policy.
