I am a regular seller and buyer at Plato's Closet. Being new to Georgia I go to the Macon location because it is the only one close to me. It was bad enough when I moved here the store was so junky, they didn't even notice the sharp thumb tac security tag lying in the middle of the floor in one of the aisles which went through my sandal and into my foot. I filled out an incident report and the manager gladly contacted me to give me a $25 buffalo wild wings gift card within 24 hours, which I was fine with. The latest time I went to the store I did not like how I was treated at all. The workers notified me it would be an hour and 10 minutes wait to sell my clothes. I chose to stay and wait. As my time approached I asked one of the employees about how much longer and she informs me it would be an extra 45 minute wait. Had I not asked her she would have never had the courtesy to tell me it was a longer wait. I instantly became upset and the employee starts telling me I have to understand that it's busy and they are checking people out in between. That is where she is wrong. There were plenty of workers checking customers out. They were just too busy gossiping amungst eachother to work fast enough. Without any notice of a longer wait and telling me I have to understand something that I don't took my frustration over the edge. I asked to have the manager call me and still haven't heard from anyone. I'm not sure if my message was even delivered to the manager the way those girls were acting towards me. Because I had already waited all that time and picked out items to trade I waited the rest of the wait. When I was trying to check out they were trying to get me out of the store so fast that the employee ringing me up messed up every step of my transaction. I told her I wanted to buy some things and use my $10 off of $50 coupon. First she didn't do the trade so she was supposedly trying to correct it by giving me an extra 10% off of a regular transaction. She tried to tell me with my $10 coupon and 10% off my total was $53. That made no sense so she went back and did it again yet this time she didn't give me my rewards points for my purchase at all. I asked her before I left was she sure they were on there and she said yes but they are not. They also never give me my receipt when I leave. I don't like the way I was treated at all and I will be glad to let everyone I know how these...

Read moreI used to work at Plato’s Closet in another location in GA. We were one of the most highly ranked, most successful Plato’s Closet’s while I worked there, so take this review from someone who knows how the store is supposed to be run per corporate policy. When I arrived I was greeted, but every moment after that was disturbing. The store is in disarray with no structure. Shoes are not divided by size, clothing markers are random and not divided; there is trash all over the floor. The three young lady workers screamed profanities at one another (specifically the F-word, S-word, and the N-word Multiple times) and there were two children in the store while I was there. There were multiple comments made about “white people”, and how customers were only in the store because they were giving away a free easter basket. (Like, okay? And? That’s the point of marketing.) There was also a comment made saying “I hope there’s not this many customers next week.” There were three of us in the store at that point. While I was checking out, there were multiple comments made about how unsafe the area is which did not make me want to come back. The clothes are outdated and not on trend; which may explain why half of the store was on sale and even good items were low priced; almost 1/3 the price of the clothing we sold at our Plato’s. Shopping here makes me embarassed that I’ve ever told anyone in Macon that I’ve worked at a Plato’s Closet. I will not...
