Bright Child Learning Center — Local services in Madison

We really struggled to find child care for our daughter, but finally decided to give in and pay the $600 reservation fee for Bright Child. A few weeks before she was supposed to start, we received a long list of additional fees that would be charged to us for their automatic payment system to the tune of several hundred additional dollars, plus additional monthly payments. When I finally tracked down Brandon, the director of the center, to talk to him about it he apparently had no clue what I was talking about. When I showed them the list of fees, I was told "I don't know what those are." However, I was already so frustrated by the fact they were duplicitous enough to tack on all the extra fees that I had found other care for our daughter. I told Brandon as much and he said that due to their mistakes, he would waive the $200 cancellation fee (who even has that?). Then, a week later, they said that we would STILL HAVE TO PAY THE CANCELLATION FEE and that it was unfortunate that I "got the impression" that we would not have to pay it. AND we still had to pay for an additional 2 weeks of child care!

We have been very happy with Bright Child Learning Center. They watch both of our children and have taken the education of them very seriously. They spend time working with the children individually and allow for independent exploration. My son loves going there and I feel they are very competent. All their main teachers have college degrees and it shows in their curriculum and attention. They are very trustworthy. I have personally never had any "shadiness" regarding their financial practices. They have always been very upfront about their fees and were more than willing to send me a spread sheet showing me exacty what I would be paying and when after I would be sending my new child there as well. Miss Ashlee is 100% wonderful, and my kiddos absolutely adore her! Every time I pick them up, there’s always a smile on their cute lil faces because of her!
