I’ve had mixed experiences at Manhattan Feldkamp’s over the years. In 2019, I purchased a custom Southern Motion sectional. It took almost 6 months for this to come in, was poor quality, and did not hold up to regular use. I decided to go with a more reputable brand for new couches (La-Z-Boy). I initially went into Feldkamp’s on Black Friday in search of a deal, but their floor selection was limited. I then spent the rest of the day shopping around at all the other furniture stores in Manhattan only to learn that Feldkamp’s is the only local La-Z-Boy dealer. I went back to the store in search of information on ordering couches and they offered the same sale opportunities given for floor models. I wish I would have known they offered the sale on custom orders before spending the day shopping around for nothing. Oh well! The only real issue I had with this second purchase from Feldkamp’s came when I called to check on the status of my order. They told me the couches would arrive within 13 weeks. On the 13 week mark, I called to check in. I was told that one arrived, but they were waiting on the other still. I called back a week later and was told they didn’t know where my couches were and that there was nobody they could call at La-Z-Boy to check. I asked to speak with someone else who might be able to help only to be told, “She’s going to tell you the same thing. La-Z-Boy is a huge warehouse. There’s nobody to call.” I felt totally belittled after this conversation. When the couches did finally arrive, they set up delivery right away. The delivery guys were fabulous, and I was grateful for their help with not only setting up the new couches but removing my old sectional as well. I think furniture orders are taking a long time everywhere, so they can’t really be faulted for the wait time.    Read moreI was the 4th person out of my group of friends t order a specific couch from feldkamp's. I ordered mine 1 month after a friend did and was told that they had ordered extra when they ordered hers so it would only be 2 or 3 weeks until they were in, which was the main reason I went with feldkamps. 3 weeks came and I heard nothing so I inquired and was told mine and my friends was pushed back 5 more weeks. When I asked about a refund since another vendor told me they could get the same couch in a shorter time. I was told sure but we will keep a 20% restocking fee!! (Yes, a restocking fee for a couch they dont even have in stock.) Anyways, 5 weeks came and went and again I heard nothing so I inquired again and was told that, actually, my couch hasn't even made it to production yet and it would be at least 10 more weeks. But, this time they offered me the full refund I asked about 5 weeks ago🙄. I feel like I was lied to when I first ordered the couch and an extra one was not ordered with my friends. Then lied to again when the date was pushed back and the fact I had to call to find out it had been pushed back, nobody called to inform me or let me know what was going on. Of course, everything was blamed on covid but I was able to get the couch from another company in a way shorter time frame. Not good...
   Read moreWe started searching around for new couches. Between 3 dogs, 3 kids and 2 cats our hand me downs have seen better days. We spent some time messaging Barbara Anne back and forth about what it was we wanted/needed. She sent us some ideas and we decided to go ahead and look around.
From the minute we walked in, we were greeted warmly, and Barbara was readily available to continue helping us. She took the time to listen, give us more ideas and show us what was in stock and what could be ordered. She was very patient, kind and knowledgeable about all the pieces available and what could be ordered. She was able to read us and deem what may or may not be best for us and didn't push on things we didn't like or were comfortable with.
We didn't need delivery, but the guys who loaded our furniture took great care of the pieces we picked out. And helped load us quickly, efficiently and safely.
Feldkamps has some great deals and prices, but even without those, we'd go back for the customer service. We were very pleased with our experience and won't hesitate to go back to Barbara for future furniture...
