UPDATE: After communication with the owner it became clear to me that they are quite overwhelmed with the success of their business and are really working through some growing pains. The owner does seem like a decent guy. They are open to feedback and strongly desire to treat their customers well. I have updated my original 2 stars review to 5 stars due to the efforts of the owner to make things right and communicate where they are coming from.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: We've been coming here for a long time and have always had a great experience. We have to drive an hour to get here so it is a bit of a special thing for our boys. Today however, we show up and are greeted at the door by an employee who denied us entry because they were "really busy" and asked if we could wait outside until some other people left. I really couldn't believe what I was hearing. I explained that we had traveled an hour to get here to no avail. It honestly didn't look too busy to me. We had to wait outside until they let us in. I however was so put off by the situation I decided to stay in my vehicle and not go in and cause any more unnecessary confrontation for my boys. We will probably still continue to come because I love my boys and want to make them happy. But I no longer have a good taste in my mouth when I think of this place and probably won't go inside anymore. As a business owner myself being busy is what you want. Why risk upsetting potential customers just because you feel it is "too busy"?...
Read moreFabulous experience selling 20+ "built" [thus, used!] Lego sets to Brick Heads. I live in DC but visit Lancaster/Lititz area often to visit relatives. After dropping by the store on one of those trips to meet co-owner Ashley and understand Brick Heads' buy/sell/trade process, it was then very easy to followup & communicate with Ashley via email. I sent her information on the sets to ensure they were of interest to Brick Heads, and we then scheduled a convenient dropoff during my next PA visit. Those email back-and-forths were over the end-of-year-2024 holidays, when Brick Heads is a particularly busy small business; I appreciated how prompt, courteous & personable Ashley was in her communications! My husband and I had at least 8 large boxes of built sets to drop off for pricing; we parked in front and used Brick Heads loading cart to get them into the store [but there is also convenient parking in the back of their building]. Some days later, after she and her husband assessed the actual builds and accessories, Ashley was then in touch with a buy price, which was very competitive. She gave me the option of electronic payment or check; I went old school and got the check within a couple of days. All-in, a totally seamless experience. Very glad to give new life to these fun sets and help a small family business! [And browse the...
Read more100 out of 10 stars. I have been taking my son here for the last five years and it's amazing experience every time. I was in a couple months ago and my son was able to build his own creations and the guy and girl, I assume the owners, at the counter even gave him a special mini fig free. I can't say enough how awesome the employees are and positive vibes you feel there. I've reviewed this place years ago under my old account and I can say still to this day the last time my son and I went in the amazing service and experience you get there is second to none. You will probably just have to explain to your wife how you got carried away and bought more than planned lol. I wish they were just a little closer to me in Hanover but my son and I still will make a brick headz day on the weekends and go check out what they have. Support small business like these and if you leave feeling less than a 5 star feeling just by the service and selection there than I would say check your pulse after because every time I've came here no matter what I've spent it's a awesome time and...
