Do not support this owner. My friend and I are young teenage girls who were visiting Manitowoc today. We noticed this pottery shop on the side of the road and decided to stop by. His work was interesting, and we were chatting with him about his pieces, as we really liked them. I took a picture of one of the mugs, as I was planning on buying a few for my mother and wanted her opinion. Upon seeing this, the owner got upset and told me to delete it. I sincerely apologized, and deleted the pictures. He then became aggressive and asked, “how would you feel if I took a picture of you right now?” My friend and I got very uncomfortable, and left. As we were walking to my car, the owner, an older man, stood at the window and took pictures of us and my car. This was very uncalled for, and he lost two customers today because of his unprofessional and creepy behavior. His work was good, but his nasty attitude does not...

I appreciate ceramic art and this work is beautiful. I found it interesting that some clays incorporated local beach sand. I bought a very small piece to support a local artist. I truly know the work, skills and expense that go into running a studio. I stopped today and the owner was throwing pottery where you could actually see him working!
