Im not sure if i went on the wrong day or if it always looks like this. I went there to sell some junk/stuff and was very disappointed in the area out back where the Vendors are supposed to park and unload their stuff. It rained the night before and it was a mud pit. I almost got stuck. The Market out back looked like Little Mexico. I thought i was in Nuevo Lardeo. There were multiple trailers, old campers and junky sheds and structures everywhere that vendors store stuff. There are only a few open spots for new vendors. I understand that there was a fire there at some point and the newer, largely structures burnt. Needless to say i didnt set up because I would've been covered in mud and the sales space was limited. The Market it self is in a great area and it has loads of potential but needs revamped. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a wonderful flea market! There's so much variety: jewelry, clothes, plants, fresh fruits and vegetables, handmade pottery, and yes even the more traditional 'vintage' items. There's even a live band! The market is crowded and lively, I found so many beautiful things. There are many imported items, however I don't see this as a negative thing.
I also want to address the fact that half of the reviews for this place are incredibly racist and I can't believe they've stayed up this long. This market is a classic 'pulga' if you're uncomfortable being in a place with many Latinos then you should find your racist self somewhere else to shop. Vendors are more than happy to speak to you in English if they can or find someone else to help. I'm a light-skinned Latina and I didn't experience any of the discrimination some others...
