Kohl's — Local services in Mansfield Township

I went in to buy some undergarments for a work holiday party dress and the lady behind the counter was extremely rude and looked me up and down while she was scanning my items, I went to insert my card which was my moms Kohl’s card and I’ve used it before with no issue mind you my mom was extremely sick and had me run out for her for other things for Christmas gifts. Before even inserting the card she looked me up and down and asked me who’s card it was, I told her it was my mother’s and she told me I couldn’t use the card. She accused me of identity theft and began interrogating me in front of a whole line of people which was very degrading. She began asking me for my name and asked if me and my mom had the same last name, I gave her my drivers license and showed her we do, she began to ask me if I was 18 after just seeing my drivers license and told me that if I wanted to purchase my items I needed to open a kohl’s card. I told her my mom is going to come since they needed her to berry it was her card making her drive over 40 minutes just to swipe a piece of plastic into a machine. When my mom got there they didn’t even ask her for any kind of identification before using the card. For all they knew that wasn’t my mom just a friend of mine. So they questions me because I was younger but when an older lady comes in they don’t question her. Take you time and money elsewhere. Tried to contact Kohls customer service directly but site isn’t working. Shopped this location this evening because I had a 40% off and needed towels. When checking out I went to register 5. Cashier was Pete or Peter. He rang all my items and coupons, conversation was very polite…. Until, he asked if I put in my kohls card. I said I’m sorry I don’t have my card with me, I’m using my debit card. He then firmly reprimanded me and said “Do NOT do that again” I said I’m sorry do what. He went on to tell me that I am not allowed to use the coupon without my card. I said the coupon states when you need to use your kohls card and this one does not state that. He said well we are told here that you must use your kohls card so do NOT do that again. I am 48 yrs old and do not appreciate being reprimanded like I am his child. I went early morning to pick up my online purchase. I also purchased some other stuff in store. The lady who was helping at the online pickup desk was not professional at all, she called my order then proceeded to tell me that I'll be lucky if someone answers her because nobody does. While waiting for it another client came to return an air fryer oven, she said it had melted plastic on the inside, to which the Kohl's employee said probably somebody returned it and we just put it back out on the shelf! Finally, I got my product and I asked about the gift receipt, as it was my first time using the picking up service, to which she responded "don't you know the receipts are in the packet?" after the initial shock I just said thank you and moved on.
