Iām from Houston and always looked forward to visiting my favorite store Nichols every time we went to our lake camp. I was excited to take my parents last week but I was so embarrassed with the way I was treated. I believe we were the only customers in the store because it was on a Monday morning and we felt like all the employees were following us everywhere. After an hour of shopping I was ready to pay and as I was pulling out my credit card some of my grandchildren jibbitz fell out of my purse. The kid at the register asked me if I was going to pay for the jibbitz that fell out of my purse and I replied I bought those in Houston at a garage sale for $1. As soon as I paid she practically ran to the back. As I was walking around the store to locate the hello kitty Jibbitz my granddaughter lost in the store I feel all 10 employees are behind me watching me like hawks and I asked them if they could help me find my granddaughter jibbitz but they just continued following me everywhere. I finally found them in front of the register area and yelled I found them and walked out of the store with my family. As we were getting in our cars my mother mentioned she felt very uncomfortable and overheard some of the employees saying that I was stealing jibbitz. I immediately went back inside the store to confront them about the accusations and even pulled out the jibbitz to show them that they donāt even sale the characters that I had and the manager replied it was a misunderstanding. Upon entering the store absolutely no greeting from any employee that watched us enter. When others entered you could hear abundant hellos. Then there is the fact that every area we went to we were followed and watched. There was only one associate out of about six that came in contact with us that greeted and offered assistance. My cousin and I both spent over $50.00 but we should have just left after being gawked at from associates in corners and aisles that we visited just by chance someone would appear that works there but none other than one bothered to speak.
