Smokehouse BBQ — Restaurant in Many

Smoke house has always been a favorite but lately my experiences have been on the decline. I always get a texas tater fully loaded extra sour cream. For years. Im a load speaker so hearing me is not a problem. But.....the last two visits have made me question if its better to do my own. Both visits 1 three weeks ago and the other today 11/8 i have notice my plates getting lighter than normal. The potatoe is the size of the louisiana tater and as far as fully loaded........meat portion has been reduced to a couple of table spoons and no sour cream what so ever....both times. On a smaller note......todays potatoe added no chives or parsley but the price is the same. Dont know if its my bad luck but if add ons are not...

Been wanting to try this place for ever. Small disappointments: baked beans need upgrade: straight from a can taste... must Mention: they DID put a little bacon and maybe a spice or two in it. Potato salad: bland. Yellow. Also, straight from the Brookshires deli pedestrian.. NEEDED Salt. Ribs. . Cooked well enough. Off-putting hints of chili powder. Side sauce: kc masterpiece or generic bottle taste. Fast friendly service, tho! There's ALWAYS room for improvement! Let's get it!!!...

The food is great at the time we went the dinning room was closed due to remodeling. I believe the best thing they have is a Texas potato. It is delicious. Just imagine a VERY large loaded baked potato smothered with barbecue too. It is a meal by itself. Highly recommend. Lines can be long so arrive early.....mainly only open for lunch time. They don't offer a Veterans discount. I still...
