Rush Creek Apartments — Local services in Maple Grove

I would not recommend this complex to anyone. Initially, we had a different management team when we moved into the complex this past summer, recently a new management team has taken over. These are some of the issues;

1. NOISE ISSUES- we have notified management multiple times about the noise issues with our neighbors and they ensure us they are working on it however, it has been SIX MONTHS with back and forth communication and nothing has been done. We were informed that we could move into a different unit but would still need to cover the unit transfer fee ($600) and our rent would increase. Now we have been simply informed to just "call the police."
2. Lack of handicap accessibility- I have emailed and called several times that the handicap button entering into our building main entrance is not working, it still has not been fixed. We had confirmed prior to move-in to get a handle bar in our bathroom for my grandmother, it still has not been installed. Her PCA called and left a message for the office, she never received a call back.
3. Poor snow removal- snow removal is completed several days after the snowfall and they pack the snow in the corners where residents turning in/out of the complex are unable to see cars coming around the corner.
4. Safety- residents are constantly letting non-residents into the residents building all hours throughout the day/night. Residents are always speeding through the complex.

I’m not the type of person to leave a negative message, but this apartment complex was truly a negative experience for me. To begin, maintenance workers (males) came in 2 times unlocking my door walking in without knocking within the first weeks of us living there. Anthonia made it seem like everything would be just fine. Management took no action and basically just said sorry that these things happened multiple times. Secondly, neighbors were constantly being disturbing, loud, unaware of surroundings. I’d see trash, condoms, food in parking lots and halls. I also developed a very weird encounter with a neighbor there that had even become stalker ish and very uncomfortable. The often feeling like my concerns were being dismissed was very frustrating because we paid premium rent prices and customer service should’ve been a bigger thought. We had high hopes when we moved in but unfortunately the experience was not what we thought. I wouldn’t recommend this property unless management was held up to higher corrective measures and significant changes were made for future tenants. There’s more to this, but these were the biggest issues for my partner and I, we ended up terminating our lease way too early because of all this and once again management didn’t seem to care about our expectations and our safety concerns. Promised us a lot of stuff too, I guess that’s our fault for not getting it in writing. I hope they do...

Have had problem with loud upstairs neighbors and management has promised they would correct the issue. After several requests management has still not addressed it. Banging all day and all night. They act like I’m bothersome for my very reasonable request of a quiet living place. Neighbors are loud in the hallway (the building echos and carries noise easily—new construction), bad cooking smells, people smoking near the doors. Management nickels and dimes you and makes weird and vague and varying extra charges to my account every month, and then they act like I’m bothering them when I request clarification.

I work in the multi family housing industry and I can tell you this place is not where you want to live. And it’s only going to get worse. Do yourself a favor and find a better place to live. There are plenty...
