I was thrilled when Chipotle announced the opening of a new location in our neighborhood. However, my experience there has been nothing short of disappointing in the four times we’ve ordered from them.
Every time I attempt to order through their Chipotlane, it’s a complete disaster. Today’s incident was particularly egregious. The staff resorted to putting up signs to close the dining room until later in the evening to focus solely on online orders. This decision left customers furious and frustrated — never seen anything like it.
To make matters worse, my online order was incorrect when I finally received it after waiting for 15 minutes at the window. I had to visit the store in-person to rectify the error, only to discover it was still wrong. As I left the store, I witnessed staff members turning away customers who wanted to dine-in because they had too many online orders. The customers were shouting obscenities about the absurdity of closing the dining room as they walked back to their cars. Even those who were already inside the store were upset with being ignored at the counter. Literally everyone inside and out were upset with the staff.
The staff seemed overwhelmed and unsure of how to handle the situation. I mean it’s dinner rush so the crush really shouldn’t have been a surprise. It’s evident that there’s a significant lack of management and training among the employees.
I sincerely hope that the general manager or owner takes action to address these issues and improve the overall experience at this location. Otherwise, I fear that it may not survive the bad reputation it’s getting in this area of...
Read moreWe were very excited about this location and hoped, due to the unique location it might be an improved upon chipotle experience. Since this location opened we have eaten there ~ 5 times.
Unfortunately, like nearly all other Chipotle locations, quality of the restaurants has seen a steep decline since the company was run by Steve Ells, a chef who understood and CARED about food quality, sanitation, and customer experience.
Every Chipotle I have been to in recent years is deeply subpar. The formerly lauded high quality standards of food prep, serving instructions, and standard operating procedures, all of which used to be DRILLED into even the corporate Chipotle employees, are no longer being met. Are they are even being taught?
What you now experience is dirty prep counters, food items mixed together, drink stations in disarray, missing standard items, food under/over cooked including chips, measly portions, overcharging, and a lack of basic customer service and communication- such as eye contact and “hello, what can I get you.”
It’s also telling that there has been a lack of noticeable improvement or management acknowledgement, despite consistent negative reviews since opening.
While Chipotle still holds the place of one of the top “fast food” restaurants, it’s no longer something anyone should be proud of, and this location unfortunately experiences every one of these problems.
I also agree with several other commenters- the lack of cleanliness is likely a...
Read moreI am not sure how this location is still in business. My wife and I have eaten here 3 times, one of them being around the opening of the store. The first time we went, we went inside and then said they were taking online orders only, so you had to order right there on your phone for them to make it 5 feet away. Food was not great but we let it go as it was around opening and seemed like they were figuring things out. The 2nd time we got food from here was because its close by and wanted something quick to get, this was way after they opened, the food was cold and portions terrible.
We decided to give it one more try today and did a pick up order but it wasnt ready when we got there so I waited in the store while they were making the orders. Ours came out, when we got home this time I was angry and knew to take pictures. The picture with the steak is all my wife got in her bowl, the next picture is the rest of the food amount in the bowl. my burrito wasn't fully covered, I didn't want to unroll the burrito to see my portion size of meat as well, but let me tell you that I got maybe 4 pieces of meat, half of what is seen in the picture of my wifes bowl.
As others have said DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION, its worth the money to go to one of the other locations near by.
IF YOU ARE DOING A PICKUP ORDER, DO NOT TIP. I normally dont say that but if this is what you are getting for food and tipping for it your getting...
