Easter Weekend to arrive @ 1.arrived around 1:10 stylist wasn’t available yet so I waited. arrived around 1:30 when she arrived she had her babies(im a mother so i wasn’t against that if anything I was more understanding because of that) now I did only had a few braid I didnt scratch. But my stylist told me she wished she known I had them which I understood I stated to her i could come back. She took the braids out for me asked what i wanted and I ex. She parted me and relaxed/perm me whichever one. It only really burned on my left side i ex its been a year and thats the side i sleep on. (Ive done plenty of my own relaxers i shldved just relaxed myself then went in). After a while i cldnt take the burn and she took me to the bowl. She barley washed the product out conditioned me and put me under the dryer. Finally im back in the stylist seat around 2:40 she tried to start my wave when she put the comb to my scalp to wave my scalp was scrapped and instantly was burning! My hair only took the relaxation at the roots so she couldnt wave. After many options and her communicatating w the owner they determined to reprocessing w out touching my scalp. I was so determined to finish im just like ok whatever yall need to do. So she rinsed me again put me back under the dryer and explained (she wld be back) still trying to be patient, i said ok… after being there for a while and waiting on her to come back something told me to just look at myself and see what’s happening after being there 2 hours.. I had a fro my face was flushed and rosey my entire body was on fire (ontop of me having high blood pressure) i was just over it. I let myself from up under the dryer trying not to be rude I let the owner know i was leaving. (Still ready to pay even w my style not being completed) my stylist was still gone (who knows aside frm her and maybe the owner where she went) im waiting to pay but my greeting email wasn’t correct so i had to wait 5-10 more minutes for that to be fixed. (The entire time my spouse was with me) now its around 3:15-3:3:0 ish im asked if i want to come back after her next client later that night..( still trying to be respectful) but no Ive been in the shop all afternoon the day is gone. I scheduled for the next day… the owner proceeds to say $73.00 (for wash and relaxer service) im thinking to myself im leaving here without the service I wanted so i asked to pay tomorrow @ the appointment. That was okay I walked out. Soon as I got to my car I just busted out in tears after those couple hours being burned and my head still being on fire. I simply went to the hair store spoke with one of the workers and explained what happened. She had me get the same nourishing shampoo ive been using for years since watching my mother do relaxers. She had me get non alcoholic gel and I bought a wig. Im only up the street my head burned so i grabbed a water bottle (in my home’s driveway) washed it i scupled my hair down and did my wig in my car) and went about Easter weekend. Aside from having the braids in my hair ive NEVER been offered to be procesed twice in one day! And even with my stylist saying my hair wouldn’t fall out I was over her playing in my head. Wigs are always my go to. But I wanted something natural ive had waves before regardless if its been a year or however long without having a relaxer and it didnt take almost 3 hours to get them… my boyfriend called letting them know i wouldn’t be making the next appointment and he felt they were unprofessional (idk how the called ended but it did) im not for knocking down a establishment especially black owned but the experience just wasnt the best. And after my stylist asking so many questions of what to do next I just felt that if she couldn’t deliver she couldve just told me and I would’ve taken my services somewhere else. im currently in nail school, so going through that experience has also taught me some things as far as”Business Management” goes as far as all the other Ladies that were there being serviced they looked Beautiful. Kisha's salon is clean and calming. Rates are fair. Very comfortable waiting area with cable. Vending machine available. Ample parking. My hair always looks great. (Silk press).
