Fresh Lyfe — Restaurant in Maple Heights

I lived in this area for 13yrs and always said they needed a fresh food place and now they do after I moved away but still work in the area. This is my 3rd time ordering from here, the food is delicious, seriously but the services is not. Don’t get me wrong, the staff is nice just very very unorganized. I ordered my salad as soon as they opened at 11am and was told it would be ready by 11:30am, 12pm order finally ready after I had to tell someone 3xs I was picking up a call in order, still made me wait 20+ mins and it was sitting on the corner and not in the fridge (Cobb salad). Sad, DO NOT GO IN YOUR LUNCH BREAK!!!

I have to say, I kept going back. The Cobb salad is my favorite but now I’m on to the smoothies. I’ve been going faithful for 3months now and they have truly stepped their game up. My sals is always ready, I order 6 smoothies and they bottle them for me. They are very knowledgeable in what they are serving you and they work very well as a team. The gentlemen shared his weight loss story with me and now this is my main choice for lunch and dinner. I do wish they open just a bit earlier. Very satisfied customer and the prices are very reasonable. Try the turmeric shots, yes you will love them. Differently recommend to a friend or a family member that’s looking for a healthier choice. Got my son a sliced chicken bacon sandwich and it was really good. My picky son ate most of it. I however felt a bit awkward when I was asked to pay upfront especially when ithe screen asked for a tip. How could I possibly know what tip to give when I haven't seen the sandwich or the service. It is set up like subway but the items have finite toppings. I truly believe it was miscommunication but It felt like he thought I'd run off with the sandwich if he didn't get payment up front.

I hadn't even made a decision for myself. I guess it was just my expectations that they would make the food then I would pay for food and then give a tip. I am a very generous tipper for good service. Since I paid 1st the bare minimum tip was given.

The food is off the chart delicious. If I was reviewing on taste alone, I would give it 10 stars. But health is important to me and it's unhealthy food disguised as healthy. It's no different than going to any other fast food restaurant. Even the vegan options are unhealthy. And although they cook the food when you order, is it really fresh? Meat, including chicken is dead for over a month when you buy it and full of preservatives that make it last longer.
