BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER- a day out on the Pacific Ocean with a skilled and friendly crew who make it their mission to keep you safe and let you decide how you want your day of ocean fishing to go. Captain John makes you feel at home on his boat and at ease on the sea. He takes only one family/unit out at a time and follows every stringent COVID protocol, disinfecting his ship (Marsea) not only after every outing but several times throughout each trip. Everyone's masked. Captain John checks in with you in advance to see what your purpose is-- just for the sport or for food or both-- then he plans the trip accordingly. We went out in early September and we wanted dinner-- so he took us out to get our fill of rockfish. His mate Uly helped us with everything -- then filleted our catch so we had everything ready for the grill that evening. Their fridge is stocked with refreshments (our kids were thrilled). The captain and crew are deeply kind, deeply knowledgeable and easy-going. Captain John wille ven do his best to find the local dolphin population on the way out or back to see if they're up for swimming alongside the boat. We got lucky and the dolphins joined alongside us, so close we could see their eyes and their scar patterns. So cool. Get on the Marsea...

I’ve gone rock fish fishing with Captain John and Uli twice now. The first time with a young group of friends and the second time with family. John and Uli did an amazing job of tailoring their skills to create the best environment for the very different style trips. They’re super experienced, considerate and most importantly helpful. They make sure to maximize the amount of time your line is in the water. I’ve been on a few other boats and I’ve never felt more belonging then on this boat with this crew.

We’re already thinking about scheduling the Catalina trip for the next level of fish. Good stuff...

I've been fishing with Capt John twice now and can't wait to go back for a third time! We caught 40-60 fish on both trips and he managed to find us dolphins each time. Capt John and Uli were knowledgeable, kind and fun. I definitely recommend them if you're looking for a fun day trip...
