The staff was very welcoming and assuring before taking possession of my vehicle. The work was done very quickly. 4 days I think. The vehicle wasn’t really ready when I was told to pick it up. The bumper had red marks vertically that didn’t belong. I was told it was from the rack they use to prep it for install and the lady wiped it off and i was on my way.

The next day wasn’t raining and further examination revealed the bumper wasn’t really lined up well and the color was off a bit and has a yellow haze that’s noticeable in certain lighting. A return trip and a tech immediately addressed it and the alignment was improved a bit in about 10 minutes. I was told that’s all the adjustment there was and it wouldn’t get any better. It wasn’t like that when I brought it in but that seems to be irrelevant. I was told that’s the limitation of the mounting hardware. Then I was told some extra part could be order to take out the gap, but I’d need to talk with the painter who wasn’t there that day about that concern.

Tried that part and another adjustment on another visit and also spoke to the painter about my concern about the paint not matching exactly. Everyone was nice enough and the conversation on their end was defensive but professional. I was given numerous reasons why it doesn’t match. They tried again to realign the bumper and assured me the paint match is as good as it’s going to get, and that a respray would net the same result.

That was most disappointing to hear. That wasn’t what I was promised up front. I was promised beforehand that I’d never be able to tell any work was done to it because it’s such a minor repair.

The gap remains and the paint simply doesn’t match but what can I do? I park next to 3 nearly identical vehicles at work and it’s very obvious mine is a little off when side by side.

Had the man said it’ll be close but it won’t look new again, I’d have gone a different direction altogether and paid extra for an upgraded steel bumper. 1 star for their timeliness. 1 star for being polite and attempting multiple times to improve the outcome. After going to Ray's Body Shop and Desoto Collision and being very unhappy, Joe Hudsons came highly recommended. Now I see why. They took care of the damages created by the other shops and made my car beautiful again. They also caught the damages not repaired by the prior shops.
