I visited this restaurant in hopes of eating some good hibachi. Boy was I disappointed. Upon arriving to the restaurant we saw the sushi being made fresh and rolled ever so perfectly. One of the rolls looked DEVINE so my sister asked what it was so that we could order it. The volcano roll was just as good as it looked. However when it came we had no plates or dish to put our soy sauce in. By the time our waiter came back it was cold and not as good. We placed our order. My sister and I ordered the same thing. Hibachi Salmon and a side of Hibachi shrimp. When the meal came out it was not what we expected. The salmon was COLD and covered in teriyaki sauce over a bed of steamed cabbage. The taste was DISGUSTING. We call the waiter over to tell her this is not what we ordered as there is an option for teriyaki salmon, shrimp and chicken on the menu that we did not choose. She explained that it's always like that. That all of their hibachi comes in teriyaki sauce even though they didn't disclose that on the menu. She had the manager come over who basically said the same thing and added that if we didn't want the sauce we needed to say that when placing the order. We explained we didn't know we needed to say that as nothing on the menu suggested that it would be cooked in teriyaki sauce. I then asked her to just remake mine without the teriyaki sauce. She said "NO, I cannot do that because the meat will stick on the grill without sauce." Mind you, this was after she just told me I could order it that way. She apologized and walked away. I didn't eat any of the food. My sister ate the rice and shrimp. While waiting on her to finish the waiter comes back and asked if the meals would be together or separate. I was appalled at the fact they thought I should pay for food I did not order or want. I told the waiter that I was not going to pay for it. She went and got the manager again. The manager returned and said "we will give you a box to take the food home but we feel that you need to pay." I explained I understand that's how she felt but I wasn't going to pay as what I received was not what I ordered. I have never been to a restaurant that would not remake the food or take the food off a bill that a customer did not like. This is the worse meal and experience I've had in all of Tennessee. I would...
Read moreMe and my stomach of steel, I tend to explore sushi joints and take chances other, more sensitive systems can't... Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in between, this is one place you can put your utmost trust in. Probably the freshest, most flavourful sushi and sashimi I've ever had in a landlocked state, and dare I say just as delicious as some of the coastal places I've been to. Went in this last December on a business run thinking it was just another westernized sushi roll place and boy, was I ever proven wrong. Unassuming exterior, beautiful interior. Staff was engaging and very friendly, and when I went back there just last week, they remembered me and shared some jokes (I had eaten the entire ball of wasabi by mistake last time). Hard to recommend any one particular dish from this place, the whole menu is delicious, and the servings are very generous. Salad's always fresh and crisp, sashimi is always perfectly flavourful, sushi rolls are amazing whether they're fried or not, and the hibachi grill orders are always hot, steamy, and perfectly seasoned. I can't say enough good about this cozy little place... I live over five hours from the place and I'm willing to take the odd jobs in the area to have an excuse to come all the way out here for food. Literally can't beat it. So hard to recommend any one dish, as they're all so well-prepared and delicious. Explore the whole menu, I promise it's worth your time and money to do so. Well, I do have one recommendation... Try the mackerel sashimi. If I could eat my weight in...
Read moreI really wanted to like this restaurant but so many things happened that I can’t give it more than 2 stars. Looking for Sushi in Arkansas can be tricky but I want some fresh Sashimi. 🤷♀️ I eat sashimi at least 5 times a week. The waitress was a sweetheart, she just needs some proper experience and training. She tried really hard but she is definitely working at a disadvantage. #1 the AC is not working properly and I didn’t complain but it was just on the verge of too warm in the restaurant, I didn’t complain hear other customers complaining. #2 she brought me a glass of Iced tea and the glass was completely void of an ice cube. Quick remedy she brought me a big Togo cup with ice. I ordered Sashimi, spicey edamame & the Tuna/Avacado salad. The Sashimi was not fresh and the Salmon was slimey, when I showed the chef he acted mad about it. Sorry ! IM NOT PUTTING FOOD IN MY MOUTH THAT I FEEL IS GOING TO MAKE ME SICK. The salad was good but it’s obvious they are trying to cut corners as the salad was a HUGE bowl of lettuce with a few toppings. The sashimi plate for $20 was supposed to have Sashimi and they put crab stick on there to save $$$ 🤮 I had to ask for ginger dressing as the salad had no dressing. The edamame was ok. If you like fried rolls and you’re not an experienced Sushi eater this place might suffice. The desk clerk at my hotel told me layered that some guests got sick and food poisoning a week ago at this very restaurant. I still tipped my waitress $10 on a $40 tab. The service was fine, food not so much ! I...
