Stalzer's Home Furnishings & Sleep Shoppe — Local services in Marshalltown

If you see/feel all is overpriced there, you are not the only one. Here is my story:

I hired them to move my furniture to a new place, around 1.2 miles away. While they looked to be professional and friendly at first, that was not the case at the end. The youngest person with them was frequently pulling my furniture here and there. At the end, for just a bedroom set, sofa set, and dining table and chairs, they charged me near to $850. When I said this is overpriced, the woman there just laughed and said “I (she) don’t know that!” Sounds like Customers are not that much important for them.

In summary, you damage your own credibility if you recommend Stalzer’s to a colleague who is new in Marshalltown. This furniture/moving company does not worth it,...

On April 19th I went out to Stalzers I had got furniture from stalzer and I had purchase the warranty plan on my furniture Stalzers was paid by an insurance company on my furniture but they would not stand behind it because they said they weren't going to take a hit like that and Jason sat in his office and kept running his mouth so I asked his wife to ask him to come out and speak to me and she warned me that it probably would not be good. He came out of his office screaming throwing his hands up at me never said one nice thing to me I never raised my voice once I had my four-year-old little granddaughter with me she got so scared she stood by the door and was frightened. Wishing more folks in the service industry would remember they are in the industry to provide a service. Literally the poorest customer service ever received, no calls or returned calls, held thousands of dollars worth of purchased furniture in their warehouse without so much as a call to me to let me know it had arrived. Then makes up silly stories as to why they cannot deliver the furniture, so I had to come into town and get it myself. What a shame for a small town store, very disappointing that I spent any time or money at this establishment. I will not be returning ever again. Lots of Over Promising and Under Delivering, nothing arrived in the time...
