Taco Bell — Restaurant in Marshalltown

Ordered 6 Soft Shell Taco Supremes in the drive thru. Paid $20. Recieved 6 tacos with lettuce meat and cheese. In case you're wondering, Taco Supremes come with seasoned meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. I paid for the supremes, received the regular tacos, which are $1.00 + less than the Supremes. When I called to ask if the Taco Supremes were changed the gal that picked up just said Taco Bell so quickly I thought it was a recording. Phone etiquette is a thing. I would recommend training on answering the phone in a professional manner. They did take down my information to come back and get 6 free Supreme tacos but only if I talk to the manager. I appreciate that they want to fix the mistake by offering free food but I think it might be more cost effective and prudent to offer employees adequate training, even if just a refresher. The cashiers taking the order and giving me my order were very nice though. I just hope in the future that I won't have to check my bagged order like another fast food restaurant down the street who is notorious for filling orders...

The food is great but the manager is not. The general manager Krystal had a distasteful attitude towards paying customers and enjoys taking her anger out on those of us unfortunate enough to interact with her. I ended up calling, which I never do even during unpleasant exchanges at food services, and reminded her that she sets an example to her employees. If she allows her first impression to be snarky and disrespectful she shows that it’s acceptable to take her anger out on customers to her employee base. She replied with a backhanded, sarcastic apology and had nothing to say except try to defend her disrespectful attitude. The guy at the front window was super kind and helpful and ended up telling us that she is “always like this” and for that, I’m sorry that they have to be embarrassed of their general manager Krystal. took 30 minutes to get my beef burrito that was made of rice. apparently they're able to check the soap dispenser in the bathroom twice but not wipe the urine off the seats or communicate about the wait. watched two customers receive free food and an apology for their wait and we didn't even get eye contact with our food. at the very least there was the miserable solidarity between the customers all waiting for 20+. will not be coming back, and still deciding about a formal complaint. don't waste your time or money, burger king is probably better all across the board and...
