Shetlers is much cleaner than in the past. The newer employees are friendly and helpful. I have shopped here for 10 years. Prices of food have gone up, just as they have everywhere else. Disapointed Shelters charges very high prices for allergy items: gluten-free, dairy-free, etc. When I shop Mama Jeans in Springfield, I often find the same gluten-free or dairy-free products priced the same or little less. Since Shelters sells most products expired, dented, taped up- I think the prices should reflect this across the board. I do not complete my main shopping here anymore, but I do find good deals occasionally. Sometimes a good deal is a product in bulk I frequently use, that I couldn't get anywhere else in bulk- but per oz or per lb cost is the same as if purchased in smaller individual packaging. Shelterâs Discount offers a solid variety of products at budget-friendly prices, making it a go-to spot for shoppers looking for deals. Whether youâre hunting for furniture, home goods, or seasonal items, youâre likely to find something useful without breaking the bank.

Customer service is generally helpful, though lines can get long during busy hours. Shelterâs Discount excels in offering great value, but itâs the kind of place where regular visits pay off to catch the best deals. Perfect for bargain hunters who enjoy a bit of a...
Read moreI always enjoy a shopping trip to Shetlers in Seymour, MO. They have good prices, a wide variety of grocery items, & some misc non-food. You just never know what unique item you'll find. I learned early on, if you see something new/different, or just a couple on the shelf, grab it now because there's no guarantee that it will be there tomorrow, of if more are coming. Many items are a mainstay (variety of chicken, fish, cheese, milk, fresh fruits & veggies, baking basics & mixes, soups, breads, etc.) I personally think I save 35-50 percent compared to other area grocery stores. So that's why Shelters is my first stop before moving onto Aldis, Sams Club, Hy-Vee, Cash Saver, Walmart, for monthly stock...
