Iâve rented a couple times now: either a canoe, kayak or paddle board and enjoyed the experience in the lake. The actual renting of the equipment is less than pleasant. Last time I was there it was pretty windy, but my mom was in town and she really wanted to try paddle boarding for the first time. The rental clerk argued with us for about 15 minutes to not take the equipment out. We assured her that we were fine, and if we werenât we would pay the hearty fee for a rescue. She finally let us go. We got out on the lake and found a nice bay by the bridge where it was perfect. Not a gust of wind through there. We got back in time and the lady was still upset with us! She had to rescue another party and squawked at us for another 10 minutes about it. Jeeze lady... cool your bits.. it had nothing to do with us.
In conclusion the equipment is great but the dealings with the staff is not pleasant. Iâll still go back, but only because theyâre the only rental...
Read moreI was excited to check out this place to rent a canoe, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. When we arrived, we were told that canoes werenât being rented due to weather conditions (i.e., wind), which I completely understand and respect for safety reasons.

It felt like we were more of an interruption than guests. One comment in particular stood out from an employee when talking about flipping canoes from the day before, something along the lines of âyeah, people act like weâre lifeguards hereâ. Maybe that should be explained. I get the point, but the tone came across as dismissive rather than helpful.
I do think the customer service could be more welcoming. A little friendliness and communication go a long way. Not sure Iâd recommend it based...
Read moreThis rental place initially seemed very promising, offering a wide range of options from canoes to pedal boats, bicycles, and even paddle surfboards. After walking from the other side of the lake and waiting patiently in line, we were excited to rent a tandem bike. However, we were informed that they were all currently rented out, but we could be added to a waiting list. Despite the inconvenience, we agreed and then realized my ID was in the car. Although I offered to retrieve it and return within 20 minutes, I was denied. This unexpected hurdle left us disappointed and without a rental option for the day. I Understand that they have rules but they could be a little flexible when it comes to writing your name on a waiting...
