Love this River I grew up going to this River almost every so I have been going to it for 40 years have caught some nice bass and perch out of there they have a nice pond we call one mile pond and it has a beaver house in the middle of it anyway it's when you drive on the road two rivers on one side and then you'll run into it'll be opposite of the river while you're driving on the levee will be the big Long pond very nice place to go the pond take your little smaller kids to that pawn because there's no current in it so that's very nice but have taught many fish in the water but at the river but with all the snowpack this year the Rivers running pretty fast and the water's pretty cold so I would be careful getting in the water in the river there is a few more pawns there that are not as big as the one-mile but any of those are nice pawns they usually have garbage cans and some fire pit sometimes and you can just hang out for the day you can't stay the night no night camping but you can be there from sunup till sundown it's a nice River it's a hidden Jewel here up in Northern Californiaall the water that runs through it has to go down to Southern California if they would build some more reservoirs we would have be able to fill them up especially this year with the snowpack at 200% above normal so lot of water running down to Southern California looks like a waste to me so the rich people can all fill up their swimming pools and the ones that have backyard golf courses so they could keep their grass nice and green I don't think that's right I think we should keep the water up here so they need to build more reservoirs to hold some water up here I went on a rant but the years that we were in drought we needed water up here but they were letting it all out of lake Oroville to go to Southern California for Southern California always gets what they want but northern California...
Read moreAt the boat ramp I found a couple different paths to the river. I love walking in the river feeling the sand between my toes. Lots of clams to dig up out of the sand too. Weeds growing along the river's sandy beach need to be removed some. A note there is no way to get back to your car after swimming with out bringing the dirt with you just a suggestion but A timed shower for rinsing off would make this place score off the charts.🥰 A beautiful resource with clean clear water worth keeping clean so everyone can enjoy this peaceful little hide away. Reopening one of the bathrooms somewhere in the park would be an awesome...
Read moreA river here a river there. I feel lucky to be near two rivers. I have fished the Feather with my husband for over 10 years and learned how quickly this river can change. From calm and peaceful to windy and tidal waves. Just kidding. White caps for sure. There is parking at River Front Park where you can walk to few beach areas and places to have picnics and watch the...
