River Front may come alive again. They have been maintaining the soccer fields at a higher standard, there are new restrooms, as well. There is construction of the new bridge and it looks as though Cal-Trans is serving the community well with plantings, gradings and road work that, really, has little to do with the bridge. They will certainly leave the park in much better condition than received and that is how growth should happen. I oppose the $5 parking fee, however. For boat launching it is most acceptable but it does limit access to many people who can put $5 in the box to walk their dog or eat their lunch. If the park offered any activities such as tennis and basketball courts, freesbie courts, nature trails, picnic areas, a handicapped accessible trail with a dock at the river, then a parking fee is validated and only so with, at least, one free day per week. It would be unfair to to not allow free use of a park, simply. Because someone does not have 5 dollars to park their car. I think it may be up and coming and everyone going there needs to do their part and take your trash with you. Keep your animals leashed and clean up after them. If you see a weed.
