This park has improved tremendously keep going!! I used to not like walking down to the water from the main trail because it was just creepy. Now that the trees are thinned out and cleared out the park has a more inviting atmosphere. Really like the paved sidewalk or trail so far too keep going!! Lol. Heard that there is going to be many acres added soon and to me cannot be soon enough. Yay for the people making this happen and Thank You!! The riverfront park is looking more and more like a place to enjoy than a place to not. There is so much beach! Wear sandals there are buried sharp objects here and there but not very bad. Lots of bottle tops. Walk and hike and fish sing and be happy. During the summertime the kids have lots of room to swim and play in the water. Of course, floats are great and manageable in the river as long as your are paying attention or off they will go with the flow down river. Not sure of the bathrooms. I do believe they are open most of the time. Haven't hit the trail yet along the river, but sitting on the sand underneath an umbrella will be the winner for me. Unfortunately, one day the river ran very swift and I took a cooling off dip and lost something out of my shorts pocket just like that. Was not expecting it to be so swift. It depends when you go if it's going to be shallow and softly flowing or if it's going to go bank to bank in the soccer fields like it is now. Feb 10 2025. So much water has been released its a...

The potential for this area is fantastic. However with all the broken glass and tweakers camping across the river its very unsafe. As a community we should all contact the city and ask them to clean up the broken glass and maybe force the encampments to move further out of the common areas. And we could do our part by bringing garbage bags and some gear to safely grab the glass with and clean up as we go along too. It's going to take all of us coming together to re claim our water ways. This could be a wonderful family friendly area. I know a lot of people dont want to do that, but of you love our earth, and you love our community and you love our water ways please 1 small act of kindness and community service goes a long way of we're all doing it! Also! PLEASE keep your pets on leash! So many loose dogs running around. A lot of people dont feel safe (for good reason) around an...

It is a great place I just wish there was a little bit of monitoring or something because some people don’t know how to be adults

The new paved walkway’s are awesome except for when there’s adults on dirt motorcycles riding on them with they’re little kid sitting on the gas tank and it sucks when there’s a car in the park on the pathways with their dogs out loose everywhere like they own the place especially when as I understand by the signs you’re not supposed to have your cars there other than that yeah great place

Today was even better we had to watch out for the guy rallying the go cart around the dirt road and then we had to cough in the dust

It...

Potential but uninviting. Passing through I stopped as a visitor from out of town thinking this might be a good place to enjoy breakfast I picked up. A few shady people loitering/living out of the parking lot though kept me from leaving my car out unattended. After eating I tried to use the restrooms but they were dead bolted. A clear sign that they encourage public defecation and urination over decency which explains the lingering smell of feces through the air only subdued by a park worker driving a motorized tractor along the walking path spraying caustic chemicals on the already sparse and naked landscape. Not likely to return or suggest anyone else visit.

Its a nice park. But if you fallow the marks you often get stuck. Most of the trail road are destroyed. You have to travel back from the same path again again. Unlike what map suggests. The trail road are damaged by water collected within the trail road.

I love coming here on my lunch break. There are picnic benches, a cemented & dirt bike/walking path and of course the river! It’s beautiful, peaceful and relaxing if you need to just get away. If you enjoy nature & being outside then go check it out.
