Book with David. Just do it. I wish we could leave more than five stars because everything about our photography experience was THAT good. My husband and I did an underwater couples photoshoot when we were on our honeymoon in Maui. David was amazing through the whole process; booking, sharing ideas, everything! We are not experienced freedivers, but David was an incredible guide and made sure we stayed safe while having a lot of fun! He gave us really useful guidance to help us be comfortable in the water with different poses and even blew underwater rings for us to swim through! His patience and professionalism is just as incredible as his work. Of course, our photos turned out gorgeous. David has an amazing eye for composition, lighting, and getting the perfect shots. Magical is the first word that comes to mind when we think of his pictures. His view into the ocean’s world is full of personality and vibrance. If you are visiting Maui and want to have your special memories immortalized in the most spectacular way (and have a great time throughout!), book with David. We are absolutely planning to visit Maui again just...

Our dream ceremony and family holiday.

Eloping to Maui with kids in tow is an undertaking, to say the least. Black Rock Photography had us covered every step of the way.

The location David recommended was pristine, the beach was truly beautiful beyond words. The officiant wasn’t just professional he was personable. The pictures of our sunset ceremony were perfect. David really captured moments that will be in our hearts forever.

Black Rock took care of all the details, so my family could really just take it all in. What could have easily been a very stressful endeavor turned out to be one of our greatest adventures.

My family and I have hired Black Rock Photography twice now - once for my sister in laws wedding and more recently for new born pictures of our baby. I cannot say enough about the quality of images we were given and how happy we were with the final results. Davíd was professional and amazing with communication on both occasions. He was attentive to the small details that I would never think of (posing, awareness of light, clothing, props, etc). This attention to detail really set his shots apart from other photographers we have used. We have loved working with Black Rock and will absolutely be using them to document more family milestones...
