I have had great experience in the past (over a year ago) with this shop but my most recent one was pretty pore. There seams to be no legitimate bow tech there. I came in with a simple request of buying a dozen new arrow. They happened to have the exact arrows I need so I used it as a time to see if this place under new ownership could compleat the task no problems. I had a request to glue in my brass inserts, I asked for G5 blue glue. They insisted that blue glue would not hold. I insisted that it would and if need be I could do it. It soon came to my attention that it had nothing to due with the glue but with the tech not understanding how to properly construct an arrow. They ended up asking me to glue them in fear of them drying before they got them all the way in. I ended up doing it myself noticing that the arrows the tech had cut had not cut through the shaft all the way on some making a small lip on the inside rim. I told the bow tech and he blamed the saw saying the blade is bad. Here’s and idea, change the blade. End of the day I spent 165$ and picked up 12 field points 12 arrows, 12 nocks, then proceeded to charge me 5$ for 1/2 hour of range time in a empty shop with no offer of a fresh target. There is a million pro shops like this one that come and go. People over their heads and to cheep to pay a tech with skill and knowledge. End of the day, bass pro has better service and experience in their Archey center, not to mention fresh saw blades making...
Read moreMiss eds archery, my dad's crossbow exploded three shots after new strings. My wife's crossbow limbs are cracked after new strings. I miss Steve and eds archery this is a sorry sorry replacement. Two bows broken after around ten shots. Coicendence I think not. Hicks replaced limbs on the ten point for a lower price then easternwoods outdoors discounted rate. Save your your money go to Hicks. Update(11-10-2025 easiest way to spot a liar is when the stories don't add up. You've don't more to hurt your own reputation just by replying. Attached below is a email thread not stating anything about arrow weight. First bow. Eastern woods would not even supply the email thread from ten point to which I've called. And they said and I quote that there is no way to prove that the bowshop was wrong. Meaning they can overcrank your bow in a vice crack limbs and charge you for the repair. So either eastern woods doesn't know what there doing with bows or they have bad help. Two bows both basically both broken one bow shop same vice. Glad nobody got hurt but be careful and let this post be a testimate to anyone who has been scammed or worse injured by poor workmanship. So again save your money go to bens or Hicks and Steve from eds archery if you ever read this we the...
Read moreAsked my wife to get me a hunting knife for Christmas, and printed off 3 or 4 that I would like to make it easier. She went to Hunters Den (We like to support the local businesses!), they took her contact info, and mine so he could see what they could get and said he would call me with info. I specifically wanted a good quality fixed blade with a gut hook (not a folding model). The pages I printed off were for $100-$150 knives... They didn't call... After about 3-4 weeks, I stopped in. He recalled talking to my wife and showed me the catalog of folding knives. Was a good time in the store, I took note of some of their product offerings and reviewed them online, as I was not familiar with those specific ones. On the 20th, I asked for a price on 2 of the knives, with a reply the next day. Pricing was in line, and on the 22nd, I asked them to get me "product X". Hadn't gotten a reply in a week, so I asked for an update on the 31st... Still no replies. I guess if you want to do business with them, don't bother using phone or email, you must physically go to the store... Bummer...
