This is going to be long! I myself loved my first experience here, I first purchased a 2022 Ford bronco for 22,000 my payments being @ 550.00 a months, totally fine, I could afford that! So first off i put 4000.00 down and drove the car home. Right away, recall after recall popping up on this car. One day I was driving and go to pull out on the hwy and it moves just enough to get me into the center of the road and then won't accelerate so im in panic mode, it then lunges forward on its own causing me to almost hit a car in traffic, I call the dealership where I live and explain my issues, he says hes never heard about anything like that happening, call back and talk to another guy in the morning. Next day on my way to work same issue. I take the car back and tell them that my car has been nothing but problems, I dont want it. I hadnt even had the car 4 months! No offer to get it in and look at it and refused to help me out of it unless I had a co signer. I worked really hard to get my credit where I could do this on my own. So fast fwd 2 months, out of no where the car stops and flashed overheating, check it and there is no coolant, ive parked this car in the same spot nightly since I got it and no leaks on the ground, no warning pops up that coolant is low or that the car was running hot, until it quits. I put coolant in it start it up after a few call freedom crying explaining to them my issues and that I had already begged them to help me bc the car wasnt right. They then have me bring the car in, im in tears, my kids at home, im now late for work and they tell me they can get me in one of two cars, both being the same car only different colors and not even the car I want. But, now im stranded and have no choice but to get a car! Being my only options the sticker shows 33,000 and when I walked out its up to 46,000 and my payments now 260.00 more then what I was paying and for a car that I really wouldnt of picked. The lady helping me ( amber jones) was super sweet and understanding but had her hands tied. I did really like her. But the guy that came in and explained the way my payments were going to be and then asking me if I could put more money down, on a 2025 Ford escape! well he definitely needs better people skills. I had already put 4,000 down on the last car, made 5 payments on the last car, had to pay 1300.00 to tag tax and title that car and now expected to do it all again. So now my car buying experience was ruined and I worked so hard to be able to pick something I wanted and enjoyed. And now bc I had to have a vehicle to get to work and home to my kids im stuck with high payments and not the car I wanted. It hurt, it didn't feel fare and to me the only ones who seemed to show any bit of actual care was amber and the lady in her office. The first car should of never been sold, someone had to know something was wrong with it. And when I asked them to read all the problems I seen after googling what happened to me they should of wanted to do more. Not to mention how much negative they put from the bronco onto this car when it was absolutely not my fault that the car needed to go back. All anyone tells me is I should get a lawyer. It just sucked and was a lot of un needed stress :( and now almost two weeks later im getting calls from my old lender of the bronco wanting a payment bc they still haven't recieved a payoff. As if the 14 hard inquiries on my report didn't hit hard enough, I feel this is going to do a lil damage to my credit report. Super disappointed is all I can say.
So I will back up and say after this review sam reached out to me himself and cleared up a lot of stuff for me, and apologized for how things went and for my experience. I did really appreciate that he made that effort, and we both agreed that amber rocks. Listen, someone just acknowledging that there was a problem and that its not easy for some of us to just do the whole car buying deal in general. So a big thanks to him for reaching out and making me feel a lil better about the...
Read moreAmazing dealership! I have never posted a Google review before and am going out of my way to do so now.
I drive an 2012 Explorer (bought in Dallas where I live) and have never had any serious problems with it. My college age daughter and her friend were driving my car home from Fayetteville to Dallas on a Saturday afternoon and started having serious car trouble about 30 mins. north of McAlester. They, of course, were completely scared, calling me every 5 minutes as the sounds, vibrations of the car and now alarms were getting worse with each passing mile. My daughter wanted to stop on the highway and not drive any further! My husband found Sam Wampler's Ford on Google Maps not too far from where they were and they pulled in completely traumatized.
Sales Consultant Joe Andrews was there to talk to them, however the service department had closed for the day. Nevertheless, Joe called Shop Foreman David and he actually came back to work to look at the car! I couldn't believe it! That kind of service is nowhere to be found nowadays and the level of care, compassion and professionalism was exemplary. They actually took care of what turned out to be a very leaky oil filter and saved my engine from shutting down. Amazingly, they did not charge us a thing for their time or service! The girls were on their way in a couple of hours, after what started out to be a completely harrowing experience to being so grateful for the kindness, expertise and dedication.
This review is not only a testimony to Joe and David, for I see many, many reviews here complementing the service at this dealership. Aren't most people who write a Google review unhappy and want to vent?! Not on this site. This dealership obviously has the kind of culture that comes from a honest business relationship with the customers. A huge thank you to Joe and David and thank you to Sam Wampler for your leadership guiding your employees. I may have to drive from Dallas to purchase my...
