Books on Main — Local services in McCormick

What a wonderful experience! I came to the area to visit my mom for Mother’s Day and one of the activities she wanted to do was go to Books on Main. She is a big reader and raised one so I was thrilled to tag along. They had a great selection and the store is much larger than it looks. I was not able to find all of my usual authors, but found some and also some new ones. There are many paperbacks and hardbacks. There were quite a bit of older books that the public library would no long carry and I am looking forward to those.

Make sure that you take the time to look and figure out the organizational system. Some of the books are super organized… but, it’s worth the search for the selection and price.

This is such a lovely bookstore! They are all used books, which is such a nice change from all the new bookstores that are popping up lately. The prices are a little more than Goodwill books, but the books are in very good condition and the shopping experience is worth spending more for used books. It’s very peaceful inside and the owners are so incredibly nice. We enjoyed chatting with them. It’s important to note that this store is cash only - they held our books for us while we went to a local grocery store to get cash back.
