Food Lion — Local services in McCormick

This store has the most miserable cashiers!! I wish they had a self checkout. I think I will start driving an hour to Augusta just to not shop at this Food Lion anymore. The cashiers will stuff 8 heavy cans and bottles into only 1 bag and then get an attitude if you try to double bag it yourself! I’ve arrived home and had bags split and my groceries fall on the ground! I truly try to be nice to them all, but they are so mean and miserable if you ask them to double bag an item that’s busting through the bag! I used to double the heavy ones myself to not bother them, but they now hide the bags at the end of the register so I can’t! The cashiers will bag raw meat with pastries or vegetables! They will put a fragile bag of chips in with heavy items. They throw your pastry or cakes upside down in a bag. They will put 1 random frozen item in with non perishables or a box of crackers so the box gets all wet. It’s all just common sense, but they seem to have none or they simply don’t care. I sometimes buy items on sale because they are on sale, but there’s times it doesn’t ring up as on sale. And if you ask the cashier about it they get mean and just lie to your face that it rang as a sale because they can’t be bothered to check. But we can’t see or scroll through all the sales on the screen like they can, or I wouldn’t have to bother them and ask. Upon checking the receipt is when I find out he lied to my face because I paid full price for the “sale”. I am not mean, degrading, or disrespectful to them. I simply want the sale price listed and for my groceries to not spill all over the ground! I have never been to another store where all the cashiers were so rude like this one. ZERO STARS NEEDED!!! The management as far as I am concerned is a joke. Not once but twice I have reported issues and they are fine with the employees doing and saying whatever they care to do. I was in there with my small child and when I went down an isle a male employee was undressing and had both his hands down his pants. He had his britches unbuttoned and unzipped. I did ask a female employee who it was (and she gave me his name) and if a manager was available. And as usual nothing was said as the Manger seemed to care less. I did write a letter to the headquarters and spoke of my issue about the individual named Johnathan (who I was informed by another employee of his name). He shpuld of went to the bathroom and do whatever it is and or was you were inappropriately doing in front of everyone especially small children. This individual not should be working with the public. When will this store ever get a clean house and a staff that cares about its public who keeps their doors open and a paycheck in...

I will drive to Augusta before I ever shop this store again. The produce guy was in the way of the mushrooms, I asked if I could get a pack if he had a moment. He never looked up or spoke picked up the brownest mushiest mushrooms on the shelf and shoved them at me. I circled back around when he left and got another pack. Got to the register, no hello, did you find everything ok. No pleasantries at all. An elderly lady walked up to the end of the counter and asked Miss Rudeness if she would help her find something when she had time, the clerk never said yes or no. She handed me my receipt and change and never said thank you, have a nice day nothing. This is not the first time and I have a friend that has had the same experience. They are rude as heck!!
