Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital Behavioral Health — Local services in Menomonee Falls

How can Froedtert dictate that I must be an existing and established patient with a primary care physician through them just to be able to make an appointment with the behavioral health department there? This is deplorable. Froedtert should not be able to corner the market like this and pigeonhole their patients into staying with them for all care needs. This should not be allowed. This should be illegal. But I play by the rules and I do my research, I find an in-network primary care physician at Froedtert. I call to make an appointment only to find out that the first available opening isn’t until 2/3/2026! So I need therapy services and if I’m unable to even see a primary sooner than the new year then when do you expect someone like me to be able to schedule an appointment with the behavioral health department?? Again deplorable. Not to mention that I have a referral to see behavioral health from my epileptologist, who is also a Froedtert physician. Moreover, I’ve even seen one of your therapists over this past summer and having a different hospital-affiliated primary physician was not an issue then. Shame on you all for causing such a high level of distress for something that should be easy like scheduling a doctor’s appointment. And what is even worse, before I become disabled I was a medical front office manager for three different practices as well as a medical claims and appeals specialist. I am very sad to give this one star! My stay was great ! The staff was great. ! UNTIL IT WAS TIME FOR MY RELEASE! I felt threatened by another Man in the facility , He actually threatened several of us. We literally were scared this guy was going to do something crazy. I asked to go home a day early . The staff said no problem, called my cab for 12:45 and walked me out the door. They Knew that I only had eaten breakfast and left me sit in the lobby unit A waiting forever. Then when information contacted them to see what was going on apparently my cab went to the other building and canceled my ride . Due to the fact He did not see me. When I phoned upstairs, I was then told maybe you should have scheduled your own ride! Well I said you could have told me this a long time ago!!!! Then they call back to the information stand and she informs me that a new transportation company would come and get me at 5:00 pm I started crying !!! One of the workers from the unit saw me sitting down there and says I can at least bring you a sandwich, I said that would be nice , I was feeling frustrated. She never returned. Finally at 5:15 Mike the valet guy says where do you live ? I will take you home , when I get off at 6:15 . Then finally at 5:55 my transportation company showed up. This facility failed my * and my family tremendously. With evident delusions, suicidal ideology, and manic thoughts and actions the staff decided to discharge my * without follow-up care. Less than an hour after release my * psychosis reinstated/became more evident (after we assured the staff this would occur). The staff at Froedtert failed my family. A mental health crisis cannot be turned a blind eye to and this facility did this and more. After presentation of significant concerning information pertaining to the events leading up to this, the staff acted like this was 'normal'.
