Worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a contractor. I would not recommend Claudio to anyone. He subcontracts all of the work. He repeatedly told me the work would be done in 3 weeks, 2 months later it finally wrapped up and probably because I was constantly reaching out to him wanting to know why there was no progress. The metal slabs sat in my driveway for 2 weeks. My neighbor went with another roofing company who completed the job in less than 2 weeks while my metal slabs continued to sit in the driveway. First big wake up call came when Claudio told me the permit was being held up by the TOML. When I called the Town they told me it had never been submitted and that they did not have a backlog. I called Claudio and he told me to give him 24 hours to find out what was going on. As expected, 24 hours later the permit application was acknowledged by the Town. That should have been my first sign that things would not go well. All of the roof exhausts that Claudio told me would be put in before the metal did not go in until after the metal was laid and only because I kept reminding him that there were several that were missed. Even the metal contractor acknowledged that was not the way to do it; exhausts go first, then the metal. Expect to hear excuse after excuse from him as to why things aren’t happening and why he can’t come to your home. I have enough horrible stories to write a book. From the hole that they didn’t cover with plywood to the horrible job his wood contractor did with the soffit replacement. I hired a contractor he recommended to patch and paint the soffit and while he did his best to repair the work, I’m having to hire someone else to fix it again. The metal contractor was definitely not licensed at the time because a surprise inspection from the County resulted in him being fined for working without a license. Almost 2 months later and after repeated text messages, phone calls, and an email to his company, he has not sent me the pictures or documentation he promised me for my insurance company. If I could give Rooftop Solutions zero stars I would have. Claudio has the gift of the gab, he can talk his way through anything but once you realize it’s all talk, your frustration kicks in. I had my roof repaired less than a year ago by Rooftop Solutions. With the initial job they were great, however my roof is now leaking again (10 months later) in the same exact spot! At the time of the repair I was told the roof did not require replacing and could be patched. I spent thousands on the roof repair as well as fixing the interior of my home. I tried calling them for weeks to have the new/old leak re-evaluated, and they wouldn’t return any of my calls. Finally after leaving an initial review here they reached out to me. I am being told that they only had a six month guarantee on my repair and the leak started ten months after the repair. They will not come and inspect the roof in an attempt to fix what was not repaired the first time. Instead they have told me that I just need to replace the roof now. This is after they told me 10 months ago it didn’t need to be replaced and could just be patched. I am extremely disappointed. Terrible customer service and won’t stand behind their work.
