I am sad to have to give a two star review. I have been a customer of meadows meat for over 20 years. On 12/14/24 I went to Meadows Meat. Once inside I began ordering my meats with a young lady. I do not remember her name. I asked her for some thin cut pork chops and was immediately told they only do 3/4 thick cut. Then I was told if they cut the meat a 1/4 inch thick, the meat will shred. I then ordered some wingettes. I told her I did not want the wingettes that are in the bag. ( I do not like the bagged wingettes.)She looked at me and then told me they now charge extra to cut the wings. She then asked how much wingettes did I want. When I told her five pounds, she looked like she was angry. I then ordered three pounds of slab bacon with the rind on cut thin in one lb bags. Apparently, the older gentlemen that walks with a limp cut six pounds of the bacon in three pound bags. When she told him the order he said very angrily in front of me, "I don't have time for that. I am busy." Once I finished my order, I had to ask her for another box because she overstuffed the one box she placed my meats in. That same gentleman mentioned above said," You should have brought bags." I did respond to his comment. I am very sad to have to look for another meat market because their customer service skills have been released in the river. I have brought and sent so many people to their place of business over the years that I will now have to inform them about the cust. Svc. I went to Shoprite when I left the meat market and paid the high prices for the thin cut pork chops and other meat. It is unfortunate you can't get the meat cut the way you want it or get the wings YOU want cut, how YOU want them at a butcher/meat market. It is also disturbing to me that you have to pay extra for someone to cut meat. RIP...
Read moreTook a trip up here on Valentine’s Day to pickup some steak and as a first time visitor/buyer I was highly pleased!!! I didn’t expect to be standing in an actual meat locker but you can’t get any fresher than that! The meat is all beautiful looking. I wish I knew the name of who helped us but I was a little overwhelmed and not paying attention. Younger gentleman, reddish blonde hair. Facial hair. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I wanted top sirloin and He advised me on how thick I should cut the steak for the size of it and was not at all rushing me, rude or annoyed when I said it was my first time and I usually just go pick it off a shelf at a store lol. He welcomed us, and told us about the quality and freshness of the product they sell- I also picked up some dog treats for my sisters dog and he told me how great they are. I was a little nervous I’d be met with some scarier and more abrasive men but I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to coming back...
Read moreFirst off, Ima say Hands Down “Dee” is by far the most amazing worker at Meadow Meats.. He himself gets 5+⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ok down to why I choose a 1star rating, if I could choose it would have been None, sorry..Out of all the days I’ve been going to Meadow Meats I’ve never had no bad experience but TODAY 7/9/25 was terrible. I came and requested someone thru Dee and the young lady who also works there went on and on about how she doesn’t respect him,(Dee) and her dislike for him. My thing is that is not my business nor is that professional for you to start venting to a customer about whatever you feel about him. I’ve never really dealt with her when I do visit Meadow Meats but she never has a good attitude.. and I’ve noticed that since she’s been there.. My opinion is that kinda attitude doesn’t look good for this business that alot of people and families travel to shop here.. I’m just saying…. But overall I love this place...
