I recently revisited this place after several years. There is good news and bad news.

The good news: In spite of the city's Common Council having authorized the mayor to contract with sculptor Pe-ter Lun-db-erg to place sculptures in the city, in addition to the one he already had here at Harbor Park, no additional sculptures of his have been placed here. I am quite sure none of his sculptures have been placed anywhere else in Middletown. Let's just say, I don't see how I could not have been aware of it if they had been.

The bad news: The sculpture of his that was here before is still here! This bulbous blob of concrete wedged up against a brace of steel (see photo). It is utterly out of place in this riverside landscape; it blocks out the scenery and breaks people's minds.

I strongly urge all residents of Middletown to petition their city government to get this hunk of junk...

This is a great city Park, because it is pretty clean, well fairly clean. There was some construction going on with the restrooms for awhile. However, I’m not sure if it’s still going on, so be sure to take a bathroom break before you go to the park. The restaurant adjacent to the park used to be a good place to go and hear live music, or sit out on the porch area and look at the Connecticut river. However the restaurant has since closed so, be sure to bring a packed lunch if you plan on staying for a ny extended amount of time at the park. A cool feature of this park is that a tunnel that takes you under the highway into the town. It lets you out in front of the mini-mall I like to call it. Where you can go shopping for jewelry, eat at a couple restaurants, and visit a few novelty shops. It makes for a safe great experience...

Harbor Park, is located along the Connecticut River and it runs for about one half mile North and South. It is a really nice place in which to walk and just enjoy the sights of the river. There are a number of places to sit. Also, there are a number of events, over the course of the year, that take place there. I have been told that Harbor Park is the 3rd most popular place, in Connecticut, to watch the sun come up. I did enjoy the sun rise on 12/25/18-- See my photo google map Harbor park. In passing: The park does flood at different times of the year-- then, I would...

Very nice, a lot of benches, you can take pictures with your family or with your husband. The sunsets are always beautiful there. There are women's and men's toilets. There are restaurants, and there is a cinema near this park. If you don't have a car, then take bus 585 or 584-585 and go there to Harbor Park for free because of the coronavirus. There is a lot of parking. You can have a picnic there. So, you can enjoy and watch the sunset.

Very cool idea, pedestrians being able to cross through the tunnel. Well lit, Camara surveillance, clean. Opens up to the well kept park, lots of benches, railings on the river to fish from. Disposal points for old fishing line. There's a dog cleanup station with disposable bags available. Nearby parking is pay to park, but affordable. Look for public events, there was a band playing here last night, complete with mobile stage.
