Midland Health Department — Local services in Midland

This place is the worse health service I've ever received. As soon as I walked into the facility, it took them more than an hour to give me any type of service. There was about 5 people waiting for the same expectations as me. When my ticket # was finally called up, the lady was extremely rude and said the wait time was going to take a very long time because there was only 1 nurse. She rudely asked if I could either wait or to go somewhere else. I walked out with no hesitation, but at the same time very disappointed and offended by the lack of professionalism. As soon as I walked out I then came to a much more professional health care for the same price and much more professional. I was extremely disappointed at the service and the overall handling of this situation. I don't recommend this place AT ALL. Left extremely upset, unattended, uninformed and highly unsatisfied. Someone should do something about this bad reputation they're gaining from patients. How is this place even opened to the public!? What a shame to have people like that work for a public health department. I don't see why anyone should receive this type of service....

My experience was very similar to everyone else's. I scheduled an appointment here for my son, the school had this place listed as a recommendation for shots. I figured since they deal with shots it would be quicker than going to our regular doctor. When we showed up for the appointment, the ladies at the front desk were so rude. They don't acknowledge you and are very short and clipped when they talk to you. I swear they speak to you like you are an inconvenience to them. I work in customer service and I would never speak to my customers that way. The nurse that administered the shots was very nice. I have nothing bad to say about her. Today was my second day going to this place. The first time I went I was new in this city and I didn’t know any better, the experience then wasn’t the best but I was ok with the treatment we received, which were vaccines for my daughter to start school. Today when we arrived 5 minutes early the clinic hadn’t opened yet so we waited outside. While waiting three employees walked in one by one the fist one was a nurse the other 2 were clerks, not one of them said good morning, the 2 clerks acknowledged us and asked appointment time, without even looking at us.
