Texas Steak Express — Restaurant in Midland

📌💌✏️ 👋 I ordered a surprise steak dinner for my s/o Birthday dinner to be delivered to his hotel room since he's having to work out of town in Midland & couldn't be home. It's been a rough week, and we've had some bad news and hard hits lately but I can't thank ALL of the staff of Texas Express, specifically Ashley (the GM) all the way to the delivery guy enough! All I can say is they DEFINITELY UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! 💯💥☺️ They even threw in a free peach cobbler for his birthday! 🥧 😋 #YouRock 💥 We were on FaceTime when the delivery guy (sorry idk his name) arrived and gave him the order he said "Happy Birthday man!" My s/o 😁 said that was cool as hell! He got back in the room and saw where they wrote on the outside of the bag (just as I requested online when placing the order) "Happy Birthday -The best is yet to come! ❤️" This MADE HIS DAY, and he was smiling from ear to ear for the first time I've seen in days. 🥰 I was even on FT crying 😭 like it was my birthday 😆 it was just super sweet of them all to do that and I can't thank them enough. You never know what someone is going though, and little things like this mean so much after all we've been dealing with this past week. ❤️‍🩹So I highly recommend y'all to order Steak Express on West Illinois in Midland,😋 their food 🥩 🥦 🥔 🥤 is on point 🎯 #Delicious and the team of workers there really went above and beyond 💯 which is hard to find now days. My only wish is that I could have eaten my dinner there. Besides that, everything was great! I ordered the lunch menu steak tips, added 6 sauteed shrimp and sauteed mushrooms and onions. I got a small side salad with it and opted for the loaded baked potato. I also chose the peach iced tea. Steak tips were well seasoned and tender (even after driving back to my hotel). Shrimp was seasoned well and sauteed perfectly and I'm not sure what they marinated the mushrooms and especially the onions with but they were absolutely packed with flavor. Could be balsamic or red wine vinegar among other things. "Loaded" baked potato wasn't exactly loaded, everything was put on the side but came with butter, sour cream, bacon bits and cheese. A potato is a potato is a potato....kind of hard to set yourself apart with a baked potato, maybe a dash of course sea salt on the outside then wrapped would help but delicious nevertheless and the peach tea was very peachy and very delicious and refreshing. Woman who greeted me and took my order was courteous and very helpful with the menu, another gentleman who I assume was kitchen help assured me that the order was coming up soon and the gentleman preparing my order was courteous and all thanked me for stopping by as I left. AWFUL SERVICE!!! went there ordered my food come to find out when I get home half my order was not given to me. I called back they connected me to the manager brandy she was not very nice I told her what went wrong and she said that if I wanted my food I had to go and get it my self that otherwise it was going to be 2 hours for them to deliver it. I drove back asked for my food waited for it when finally the manager gave it to me never offed an apology I said is it all there she said yes I said let me call my wife just to make sure she got apset and said it's all there the rest of the stuff was bagged the first time I did it my self. I said mam you don't have to get rude I just want to make sure I live far away. i asked her for her name she said brandy I said brandy and your last name she said it's only brandy. This manager is the most un educated and rude person ever. I wish I would have read reviews before giving them my business . Aperantly upper management has done nothing since most all reviews say there managers are rude and uneducated . All there responses are we will take care of it but aperently not.
