I took a gold bracelet in for repair. I was told it was a $45 fee to repair the link. Two days later I received a call to pick up the bracelet. The repair had almost doubled to $83. I asked what happened to the original quote of $45? I was told that they had also done other repair work that was not charged. My question is if I could not afford to pay the extra $40 bucks what would happen to my bracelet? They had my phone number and should have easily called for an approval to double the price before the repairs were done. They would have kept my $1600 bracelet for a not paying the price increase. I don’t ever do business like this.
After my post I actually receive a call from A1. The lady that gave me the quote for $45. Saying the guy made a mistake about who I was and apologized for my terrible treatment. She then offered me a $100 gift card to spend at their store. I rejected the offer because I never intended to step foot in that store again. I made that point perfectly clear!! After raising, his voice I had to tell him to cool off while I was picking up my bracelet. Now they want to say that I was rude!! A simple call to inform me of the price change was all that was needed to resolve this matter. They are a ripoff and didn’t think I would...
Read moreTook my wedding ring here at the referral of a friend.
Back story: 3 1/2 after my last child I got my ring resized (increased a quarter size) by the jeweler that made it for me in Edmond. It cost $250. Fast forward 3 years, I lost weight and then needed it taken back down to the original size. I took my ring to the original jeweler expecting a similar price point and was made aware it would actually be $2400 bc they would have to completely remake it. The only alternative offered to me was a $3.50 piece of plastic for the back that did not stay and looked awful. After telling a friend about my experience, she referred me to Marvin at A+. He looked at my ring and told me he could add a white gold bar on the inside to “resize” it and that it would not show from the outside for $100. I was shocked, skeptical and excited. I picked up my ring today (on the day he said it would be done.) It looks amazing and fit perfectly! I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend for affordable quality work. The customer service was amazing and I am absolutely thrilled it was...
Read more2 bad experiences here. Will not return. Don’t get custom work here! A couple years ago I took 2 wedding rings there to get rhodium plated. When I picked them up, the underside of the rings had not been shined up. The jeweler said it was because nobody looks at the underside of a ring? I’m not talking the skin side of the ring- just when you flip your hand over- That side. This year, I gave them a diamond and a picture of a ring to copy as a custom job. I was estimated $1800 and 30 days. 5 months later they call, tell me their jeweler couldn’t do it (too difficult) so he hired someone else to do it, and now it is finished and they want $3600. They never told me the price was increasing AT ALL. They showed me the original estimate, which clearly they’ve edited bc things have been marked out and written over and told me that the original estimate didn’t include gold or diamonds 🙄 (really?). They refuse to honor the estimate and when I told them I wanted my diamond back, I was told “that’s not an option.” I’ll tell everyone to not trust this...
