This review is only for the âF1 kartingâ experience only. We arrived and asked for the Grand Prix racing package (with practice, qualifying race and race). We were told that wasnât available, you could only by sessions and that this package was for the month of May. Well, itâs July, we came with a group, and itâs on their website boldly prominent so right off the bat thatâs a ding against them. Then we find out there is no timing or scoring â every single other place that is semi-serious about these have timing and scoring so you have an idea how well you did. Iâve done these karting type places in Jersey City, Canada, Egypt, in Ukraine, and they all give you timing and scoring sheets afterwards.
Next the cars. These cars are nowhere near as fast as they claim on the website (55 mph). Some background hereâŠIâve raced go karts for several yours when I was younger, sprint Yamaha karts that went 85-95 mph, prior to 10 years racing cars from Formula Ford, Formula 2000 to Formula Atlantic. Iâm certainly no Ayrton Senna but Iâve been around race karts enough to know that there was no way these went 55 mph, more like 30-35 mph in my estimation. Also the karts were poorly maintained and there were very slow ones and a couple of fast ones. I got the slow ones twice and it was so bad I had the gas floored all the way around the track and never let up on the gas nor used the brakes the entire time for both sessions. My nephew who is a complete novice was able to walk away from my kart on the straights even after spinning off the track in front of me at the end of the front straight (and no, he is no budding Schumacher, on one of the previously noted tracks where the karts are actually fast Iâve lapped him 3 times in a session, more than once).
I would say do yourself a favor and go to a different track if a fun karting experience is your desire. Until they maintain and keep a good tune on these karts and have them truly capable of going 55 mph anyone with a modicum of skill will feel cheated. I know our...
Read moreCame here to for all-you-can-kart on the Monday after 4th of July and did not have the best time. The track itself is pretty fun to race on but the go karts themselves are pretty worn out; nonetheless they get the job done and it is a rush to zip around at 60 mph.
What bugged me was that this place is pretty inefficient and the all-you-can-kart package was not worth it. It cost $120/pp for a 3 hour session, where you can supposedly race a significant number of 15 minute sessions. However, they totally overbooked and my girlfriend and I were only able to race 4 sessions, and we got lucky since our last race pushed up against closing time. If there is a big group that shows up on a given Monday, be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes between sessions. Iâm not sure why the lag time between sessions is so long⊠on multiple occasions, we saw employees just sitting around idly after a race (10-20 minutes) while we waited to get back on the track. 4 individual sessions costs $110 and had we not snuck in for the last race of the day, we would have overpaid by almost $40 (i.e. 3 individual sessions only costs $85/pp, versus the $120 we paid). We also only raced the same circuit each time, even though the website shows that there are multiple configurations that can be set up.
All in all, it was a fun but frustrating experience. Maybe we just picked the worst Monday to come as it was a holiday weekend, but I donât see myself coming back here. If you pay for all-you-can-kart, be prepared to potentially be let down when you realize youâre not going to race continuously and will be waiting around more often than youâll be driving. If management can optimize operations here, Iâd be more...
Read moreSo where do I begin... first I followed all the directions in my email to change my 3 night stay to a two-night stay and I still have not received a response. The next issue was I was in room 220 and it was absolutely disgusting. My remote control had food on it, looks like nobody had wiped it down,. ever. I had to take my towel and clean the floor because there was some type of sand everywhere which I took pictures of everything and emailed both New Jersey guest services and New Jersey registration. The benches that go under the counter if you put your hand under them to move it there's actually food stuck underneath there . I stayed in this room by myself and this is the way it was when I came in. I sent both of these emails while I was in the room so that if anybody wanted to come they could but unfortunately I was told at the front counter they couldn't do anything about the fact that I requested a refund for the one night and they couldn't do anything about having a manager come look at the room because there isn't one there on the weekends. I'm paying top-quality dollar to stay in a room at the track and the condition of that room was absolutely absurd for the amount of money you are charging I could go into town and stay in a beautiful clean room. I have five emails to your management from April 25th to May 3rd asking somebody to call me and I still have no response. I don't recommend anybody ever stay here and I'm still going to take this and file complaints with higher up administration's outside of the track since nobody ever wanted to call...
