The most fun I have ever had go-karting. The Good: Karts felt very fast. Lots of power and grip, and easy to control, so much grip that we all felt sore the day after. The tracks are pretty good, lots of tricky corners, long straights, as well as heavy braking zones for fun passing. The race structure is awesome, two laps behind a pace car and then a rolling start like in an actual race. They have you wear a racing suit, gloves, and a helmet; all of which were clean and in good condition. Pricing is relatively low and a good value-for-money The Bad: The karts were inconsistent. The day we went two of the karts were significantly faster than the others, regardless of who was driving. A few of the kart had significantly less power than the others, getting passed easily on the straights at full throttle. A kart also had total brake failure. Strangely these karts were kept in circulation (use) even with their issues, as these problems were apparent the moment we stepped in the karts. To be fair however this is both the responsibility of the staff to test the karts and the previous drivers to report said issues. When these issues became apparent they quickly fixed them. The other issue (and this is a minor one) was the lady giving us our safety/protocol instructions did not explain things very clearly, with the entire lecture spoken so fast it took only 30 seconds. The Verdict: Great place and great fun, but make sure you do at least 3 sessions so you get a fast kart...

Management cancelled my booking only two hours before race time while I was enroute from long distance. They provided no reasonable explanation. No consideration for my expense. wasted time or angst. Their website specifically warns they give no funds if a customer were to cancel but this business found their convenience canceling at my cost and trouble. If I didn't risk answering the phone while driving I would have been turned away at the gate ! Beware of ignorant uncooperative business such as this one. Update, so now they want me to trust them again. I traveled 80 miles in heavy traffic for a prepaid session. You conveniently canceled my session without noticed when I was nearly there without considerations. You cost me a whole day plus travel expenses. No way will I allow Tempest do do that to us again. My friends family and I will not be back....
