Main Street Market Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Milton

Although we frequent here often we most of the time happy with our experiences. However...we love the fried chicken but have been turned away many times do to the fryers being shut down even though they we suppose to be able to have them up for another hour. We also have had issues when we come in to get both chicken AND bakery when we need a larger amount because we didn't call in orders ahead of time. This is a particularly disappointing because we get unexpected company from time to time and are not able to call in orders and such... And the staff really were not very friendly about our requests. We have had everything to eye rolls to them snapping with attitude on me as well as my grandmother .... I understand that 2 dozen doughnuts is a lot but you think they would be still happy with the sale. As far as the chicken goes wr have had friends whom also had negative experiences when it comes to trying to get chicken when they are still supposed to be serving it and being told they can not have it cause the fryers are off or it is closed down earlier than...

The majority of the employees at the Milton location are great and helpful. I had an incident at the deli on 3/29/2025 where I was assaulted by one of the young ladies behind the counter. I have brought it to the attention of “management” there and upon following up, was told that the “owners” have been advised of the situation. It’s been nearly 3 weeks and I have not heard back from any of the “owners”! I fear for my safety shopping there and have Not been back since. I guess that they don’t care for my average of $100 weekly purchases. Update as of 4/21/2025: It has now been 3 weeks since I reached out to “management” regarding the assault on me on 3/29/25. Still “crickets” from the “owners” regarding my complaint and concerns. I guess I’ll need to amp things up and show my video of the incident to the Milton Police and see what they have to say as to how I should proceed. This is a disgraceful situation,...

Crowley's Piggly Wiggly is a much needed local supermarket providing Milton residents with access to products usually found in larger supermarkets in Janesville. Their meat department is excellent with high-quality meats. The meat department personnel will provide custom cuts upon request usually at no extra charge. The deli is also excellent as is their beer, wine, and liquor department. As to alcoholic beverages, they have a wide selection available, unusual for a small-town grocery. True, their prices are a bit higher than larger stores elsewhere, but convenience and the friendliness of their staff more than make...
