I’m not sure if it was covid leading to a culture of laziness, or teenagers not aware of the intricacies of customer satisfaction, or shift managers trying to squeeze a buck out of payroll. But I am tired of businesses saying they are open until a certain time and then shutting all of their equipment off 20-30 minutes early to get closed down earlier. If you are DAIRY Queen, and 90% of your customers go there for SOFT SERVE or BLIZZARDS, then keep your dang equipment on until your closing time. If you tell people “we are open until 10”, then STAY OPEN UNTIL 10. Don’t shut everything down and tell me and my family we can only get a dang pre wrapped dilly bar out of your little freezer. Workers are supposed to stay after closing time to clean up for the next day, that’s food service 101. It’s not just this one location, it is happening everywhere and the customers are tired of it. If you want to shut down at 9:30, then change your signs, and update your business hours on...
Read moreI’m not even gonna complain about the poor service because I’ve worked in fast food & retail & honestly understand, but there was one thing that I witnessed with my own two eyes that I still cannot stop thinking about. There was a child running around in the kitchen & behind the counter that was presumably a daughter of either the owner/s or a higher up. She was not in protective clothing & was also touching a bunch of different things in the kitchen & behind the counter. I suppose I could let that go, but literally ten minutes later I witnessed her digging in her pants. It’s absolutely not the child’s fault as she is just that, a child, but it’s her caretakers responsibility to not put her in dangerous situations such as unsupervised in a busy kitchen with hot frying oil, electric machines, & knives where she’s not even wearing non-slip shoes. It’s also highly unsanitary for reasons I don’t...
Read moreI am giving two stars because the french fries weren't bad. I came in to Dairy Queen in Milton last night at 7:45 pm. I was the only customer. The sign indicated the store closed at 9:00pm on Monday nights. By 8:00pm the staff was putting up chairs and at 8:25 they informed me that they would be closing soon. Which was a real nice way of saying...you ate your food, now it is time for you to leave. Maybe if it was 8:55 this would have been appropriate, but you still had 35 min to serve guests. During the time I was there, I was the only customer and it was clear by the staff conversations that this was their "joke around with each other" time, not a time for guest to have food. It was my second time to this establishment. It will be my last. I felt like I was intruding on a frat...
