Pete's Fruit Market — Local services in Milwaukee

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I've live in this city for over several score of years and NEVER knew about this glorious find. Sick and tired of corporate grocery stores, sterile produce, I took it upon myself to find the best produce store in Milwaukee. Find it I did.

The store is immaculate with vegetables from all over the America's, many of which I have never heard, but will experiment at will. Hot peppers of all varieties, fruits that explode in your mouth like the bottom of a waterfall, veggies that actually have flavor...I could go on and on but the attached pictures will speak a million words...what they won't say, is how nice and humble ALL the workers are...with beautiful atmospheric upbeat Latin music to casually stroll the many, many, aisles, of the colorful spectrum of produce...it will dazzle your eyes and make you reach for your camera!

A bonus...you don't have to worry about parking...Pete's Fruits have a gated parking lot with plenty of space. This is a FIVE star experience. I hope that you heard it here first....I just love to share...

I found this place to be conveniently located on the intersection of a small business district.

Walking through this place as I shopped, was quite enjoyable. Not only do they have a fantastic selection of produce, but there is a variety of other things there too.

What did I find on my visit?

The first thing I noticed was how impeccably clean and well maintained this store was, especially for being a fruit market. Then there was the merchandise. Produce of all kinds, a meat department, a small grocery area, juices and sodas, a small line of nice cookware, very polite and warm employees, and hot food being sold at a deli counter. Most importantly, the place is full of customers.

Absolutely amazing!

My stop here was intentional. I was informed that they had something I was looking for, and yes they did. I was very pleased with my visit and my purchase. I have no problem coming back again and again.

The produce, meats, deli and much more is so reasonably priced! They sell fruit and vegetable items in baskets which are coming close to expiration, May have a bruise or are not perfect for pennies on the dollar compared to most food stores! I’ve bought cases of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries for between the cost of $4.00-6.00, per case when normally a single pint of the 12 pints in the case would cost 2.99 alone at most stores! The baskets of Peppers, asparagus,tomatoes,grapes,oranges, and many other varieties of fruits/veggies range between $1.00 -3.00. Cases of bananas for $3.00-5.00. The fresh meats are great and the prices can hardly be beat. The deli offers traditional foods prepared daily! I love their Chicharróns. The staff is friendly and assertive to your needs! I wish I would have known about Pete’s long before I had! They can order tough to find items on request! The variety of fresh fruits and vegetables at this store are not common in a lot of other...
