At CCC in Mineral Wells, I feel disappointed that primary doctor didn't express; question findings. I feel like she missed a part of my medical history, that she may have made the difference with should she been talking to me instead of me talking to her. I forgot some things to show and bring up. The staff of nurses are right on top of things; reading chart, etc., Except a nurse thàt kept interrupting, and telling me she didn't want to be addressed when I called to her attention, As I stated,"Don't even go there. I did not cancel my appointment. I was here at 8.So don't lie to me."this was during the 6th of January. Currently finding and figuring things out with weight loss, ( which i brought up a few times to Miss Bucklry) waiting on results for WHY Anxiety higher elevated BP, and constant weight gain, and chronic pain in back and front of chest. I was told to get counciling. Miss B had said she would schedule an advisor, or something to do with a start to illeviate the pain I experience. I need a written number for that, cuz I don't know the call that may have called to sçedule appointment. Which I agreed would help. However I won't have no transportation soon, etc cuz not having money. At ER I didn't understand what would happen to me after I left. I was informed to make an appointment with PCP. , and take the muscle relaxer as needed . After the 23rd in Er; I gave an update on pending pain and symptoms and what I was doing when happened as directed by ER , and nurse staff at CCC. Honestly I need to loose about 40 lbs, to help assist with back problems, lungs, Blood pressure and Anxiety. Please help and send me a copy of this here survey;12/31/2024 at 11:32 a.m. for my medical records please. Heart Aneurysm, Anxiety/ Depression/lungs. Copd, Asthma. I don't need my medical records of my condition medically speaking . Just this to go to my records. Thank you for your concern. I need the dictated findings of the four blood tests for the tests performed on Dec. 31. As of Jan 7th, I still have no idea about some blood tests done on that day. Nor what the doctors findings are, what she recommends for supplements, vitamins if she did what and where to a pharmacy or to referral to another doctor. I don't know what to get OTC, or if it is at a pharmacy. I am trying to get healthier, and lacking the results from not getting evaluated to know exact cause of what really is happening. Please advise number again for pain...
Read moreBoy oh boy, this high rating has got to be the work of some bots or paid off people because let me tell you what if I could leave a zero star review I would. On 7-21-24 my wife woke up with pins and needles in her hand, she thought maybe it was a pinched nerve until it started radiating up her arm so I brought her here. Now I will admit they were very busy so I get that and I understand that it makes things a little more difficult on staff. However when we did finally go back after an hour of waiting they took her BP and it came out to like 148/102 so not so good. They told us no rooms were available which is fine we were there for medical reasons not comfort. They stick us down a hallway I assume is the ambulance bay due to the fact someone got wheeled out on a stretcher to an ambulance. The whole hour we were down this hallway only two nurses came back to ask her why she was there she told them and the second one took her bp again and it had only gotten worse. The nurse then asked if she had been given anything for the high BP which she hadn’t to which the nurse said she’ll be back spoiler she never did! Another person then came back with a swollen finger and about 4 minutes later was immediately taken care of while my wife sat there in pain. I got up to chew someone out to which my wife stopped me and said let’s just leave the back door is right there so I told her if we leave you’re going to another hospital she said fine so we left no one tried stopping us no even realized we left I’m sure. So I took her to Weatherford regional where as soon as they got her Bp they immediately had my wife in a room being looked after and yes they were just as busy if not more. Turns out my wife had extremely high blood pressure obviously but was also diabetic which we didn’t even know about. And with the combination of the two she was having a transient ischemic attack “mini stroke”. So after half a night at Weatherford regional and two nights at medical city Fort Worth my wife is finally feeling better no...
Read moreI understand that nurses typically cannot give a great deal of information, but the fact that the ones we dealt with continually deferred everything to the Dr was a bit much. One even went so far as to state that the Dr was "God around here". After speaking with my dad's Dr I can see why she stated that. Proper and effective communication is a skill set lacking in the staff, from my perspective. My father was in for kidney issues and the Dr point blank told my 81 yo father his kidneys were failing without any explanation as to why or what was being done to confirm the diagnosis. That really scared the entire family. Once we found out the cause, improper medication prescriptions by a different Dr at the PPGH clinic, we were very relieved. During the stay my dad was told they were moving him to another ward. He asked why and was not given an explanation. When we called the charge nurse she explained they wanted the room for a patient that they wanted to have close to the nurses station and their equipment. Had they explained that to my dad he wouldn't have been as concerned about the logic for the relocation.
My father is not a young man and does not totally understand everything that goes on with his body or the treatments he is being given. A little more time spent explaining the why's of what is happening would go a long way towards minimizing his fears and concerns.
If the Dr's are truly considered to be, or consider themselves to be, Godlike. Then there is a purveying culture within the hospital that needs to be looked at very rigorously. If this attitude is caused by, and I think I'm right here, the assumption that rural patients aren't knowledgeable or able to understand their treatment, the entire staff needs to be given some extensive sensitivity and customer service training.
Rest assured the next time my father needs hospital admission it will NOT be here. They can find a different patient to recoup their 9 million dollar fraud...
