all that really needs to be said is WOW! i couldn’t rave about this place enough. we came in from springfield and the greeters were very knowledgeable of not only the center, but also local geography and facts. very friendly and a pleasure to talk with! the bottom floor has a lot of interesting history games and facts. there’s games for groups as well as individuals. as someone who has to have fun to learn, this was really entertaining! i could spent hours just on the first floor! the second/main floor had access to an area with a lot of tables and chairs outside. plenty of room for both small and large groups for picnicking and lounging. the top floor was the access to the balcony/platform with the most wonderful view of both the dam and lake. you can see for MILES just wonderful views! our small group enjoyed it so much that we are already planning another trip back just to come to the center again! enjoy a photo of my fiancé and i with the wonderful background view. even pictures don’t do it justice!

This was fun and educational the kids enjoyed it, but also go to the other side to get pics from both sides of the dam

The people who work here are so friendly and polite! They have a 3-story view of the lake, and either a glass elevator to get between floors or stairs. There are exhibits about the local wildlife, water creatures, how the dam makes electricity, the flooding that prompted the dam's creation, the area's history, and quite a few interactive exhibits for the kids to play with. There are public restrooms inside. Theres a garden outdoors full of native plants and trees. There is plenty of parking and the visitor's center is free to visit. I highly recommend it, it is definitely worthwhile and it's nice and cool in there as well.

We had stopped for information about the area around the dam. The center has many interesting displays and the setting on Table Rock lake is beautiful The volunteers on duty were extremely informative about the history of the dam and the surrounding area. There are picnic tables near the visitor center wit that have a beautiful view of the lake. We took a short walk on path the edge of the lake, it was well paved and led tothe dock of the Branson Belle, which had a nearby parking lot for passengers. There is a gift shop with restrooms inn the ticket area/gift shop and a refreshment stand nearby. The area around the visitor center has many marked/measured trails and maps are available for the more serious hikers.

Knowledgeable staff at visitor center, interesting exhibits, clean bathrooms, beautiful scenic area for picnics or hikes make this a worthwhile stop on your visit to the area.

There is also a very interesting fish hatchery below the dam, also well worth a stop. Fish food is available and feeding the trout is a fun activity for kids...

This place offers a very informative view of the history of the region and specifically Table Rock Lake and associated dam. There is an exhibit on the history of the Native American settlement in the area as well as an area displaying the many different kinds if fish that inhabit the lakes and streams. There's also a short movie that chronicles the building of the dam from the view of the chief engineer. It was very interesting seeing how and why the dam was built, and its effects environmentally and commercially on the surrounding area. We also suggest stopping by the Fush Hatchery and Conservation center located at the base of the dam. Many of the fish shown in the exhibit can be seen there and there's even an opportunity to feed them. Overall a good family experience...
