Maxwell Bowling Center — Local services in Montgomery

All we wanted to do was go bowling, drink a couple of beers, and snack on some junk food. Unfortunately this didn't happen fully on either of the Saturdays that we went there. The first time we went the cool never showed up meaning we couldn't have any food. I tried to get a milk shake at their ice cream stand and they were out of milk. The next time we went the two guys working the kitchen felt overwhelmed so they shutdown 1.5 hours early and even stopped serving drinks. Pretty sad operation here. Definitely need some more managerial oversight and to take lessons from other successfully operated AF...

I was very impressed with the taste of the cheeseburger. Very good seasoning. The fries were hot and tasty as well. The place is clean and the service was good. They had an "all you can bowl" for $5 special going on and sadly enough no more than 8 lanes were being used. Not sure if it's advertised on base. They even have an ice cream parlor called "Scoops". They ran out of chocolate though :-( In any case, it's a must visit place when at Maxwell to have fun and eat. I'll drop by tomorrow to see if the chocolate ice...

The staff were very friendly, however, there weren't many staff members. It was a Saturday night yet there were only two employees working most of the night. I waited over an hour and a half before getting my food because they were so backed up. However, they did give it to me for free because of the wait. The bowling lanes are quite used and they repeatedly got jammed or had other errors and had to be reset. The prices are very affordable though; we bowled two games and only paid $6.50 per person including...
