Oasis Salon & Spa — Local services in Monticello

Oasis Salon & Spa was the hair and makeup vendor for my wedding this past August. The girls we ended up working with were great; super friendly and everyone was happy with their hair and makeup the day of. They worked with me to figure out my makeup look as I was struggling to figure out what I wanted. I had 2 trials where they walked me through different ideas and modified the day of as well. The airbrush makeup was also great on the hot August day and held up the whole day!

The reason I didn't give 5 stars was when figuring out the details of the day, I was told we would receive 2 hair stylists and 2 makeup artists to be able to get through the amount of services we needed in the timeframe we outlined with our DOC. I even booked them 11 months in advance. Unfortunately when we showed up to the venue that morning, there was only 1 hair stylist and 2 makeup artists. While the hair stylist worked as fast as she could, it still put us 20-30 minutes behind schedule and didn't allow time for her to show me how to put my veil underneath my updo. Because of this, we were behind schedule for pictures and I wasn't able to wear my veil the way we had discussed.

I wish they had been up front on capacity or communicated the change in number of hair stylists assigned to our wedding. The ability to get 10 hair and 10 makeups done in 4 hours was the main reason I...

I booked Oasis Salon and Spa for my wedding, and I was blown away by the work they did! They did my hair and makeup, as well as hair for my 6 bridesmaids, our flower girl, and the 2 mothers. I was able to come in before the wedding for a trial run on both hair and makeup, which helped put me at ease come wedding day. The day of the wedding, their team showed up ahead of time to make sure that they were ready to go once we us girls showed up. Our hair and makeup turned out so much better than we could have ever imagined! The team was great about making changes and finishing touches until we were happy with our look. I worked with Oasis Salon and Spa for my wedding day. Kaci and team traveled to my parent's home in Cedar Rapids to help us get ready. They were fun, flexible, and easy to work with! All of my bridesmaids felt listened to in what they wanted and LOVED how their hair and makeup turned out! I worked directly with Kaci and she is PHENOMENAL! She did two different makeup trials for me, so that I felt comfortable and confident in my look for my big day. She also did a Balayage on my hair prior to wedding day which is absolutely flawless.
