I tried to order a chimi and chips for lunch. I read there's a To go fee. I got the total $18. Seemed a little high for a $10 chimi. Maybe $5 for chips and salsa. They said on phone $1.25 to go fee. But the person on the phone didnt understand my questions about what is on the food or how long until it is ready. So took a lot of back and forth rephrasing questions. Made it exceptionally difficult to order food to go. Even at pickup same thing happened. My total at pickup was $19. Apparently the menu won't say chips and salsa free with your meal. So I paid for double chips. The guy at the register didn't know how to refund that. Oh well. The pickup time took about 20 minutes when they said 10. So take your time picking up around lunch.

Went to this true Iowa gem a couple of times now, but tonight they REALLY impressed. Despite over 80% of the tables full, our party of 4 was seated in under 10 minutes. It took a little longer to get our drinks and orders in, but as busy as it was I completely understood. My Steak Tampiqueno was excellent. The T-bone was cooked and spiced by a great chef, and I received enough meat and fillers to construct 3 gastronomical delights. I even had some beef and beer (carne y cerveza) left afterwards! The fair-er members of our group were almost left speechless, preferring to "nurse" their margaritas. The portions were huge! If you want to try their desserts, you probably will need to share, or just nibble at your entrée. The staff was friendly and the place seemed clean. The food was nothing special, sadly. The chips were fresh and the salsa wasn't bad. The guacamole tasted fresh and was nice, but it could have used a bit more flavor, maybe some lime or some spice. My wife had a crab and cheese dish that was actually quite good. Definitely the best thing on our table. I had a platter with a taco and a burrito. Both were filled with ground beef. There was a bit of cheese on the taco and some watery tomato stuff on the burrito. Neither had any seasoning that I could detect and were pretty bland.
