Well, I have to say. Sometimes the best places around are the ones that are hidden in plain sight. Today was the first I have heard of the new meat market in Montrose. This place is a real gem. I decided I had to go and check it out. Meat markets are a thing of the past. I purchased abouts $70.oo worth of tasty treats. If you have never heard of "Candy Bacon" well, let me tell ya something..... It is a delicious thick cut smoked bacon that has been drizzled with the nectar of the gods. I may not be a smart man, but this place is DEFINITELY my new favorite place to visit in all of Wright County for sure. The butcher that helped us was SUPER nice. Told us all about what they had. The place is really clean and organized. They have all the goodies too. Beef, pork, poultry, they have jerkey made of turkey, ham, beef and ohhhhhhhhh the candy bacon.....in many similar places the pricing is very hard to look at. At Gortons they put quality and customer service/satisfaction above a margin. I was eating candy bacon and ham jerkey on my way home like a stoned teenager after a pot party. I purchased some ham jerkey, lemon pepper and peppered beef jerkey, a large bag of candy bacon, Philly cheese steak beef sticks, red onion and cheese beef sticks. They have packaged deals for your freezer that are competitively priced. Above all that the fella that helped us was SUPER nice. I picked up four different kinds of brats. They were all amazing. I tried the cheese curd brats. Just make sure you watch these so you don't overcook them. I got the cheddar cheese brats. I got the beef brats and I got the root beer brats. Highly recommend all everybody should really try out this meat market in Montrose, Minnesota. It's right on the corner of highway 12 and County road 12 by the stop lights

We do buy dog bones and dog treats for our dogs here. They've always have plenty here. They have other things in here. Plus they also have a hot bar during the week from 11:30, 12:00 till 1:00 or 2:00 with lots of things. Yummy to eat
