Had spark plugs put in my truck with 80,000 miles on it. I brought it back in when the engine started missing. Per Ford, Milhausen let a hunk of crud get into the cylinder and wrecked my valves - And that they would have heard it when they started the engine. The people who did my valve job showed me the rock that did the damage. I guess that explains why no-one there would make eye contact when I picked up my truck. Milhausen said to drive it awhile to clear it up. Well, the crud bent a valve and no amount of driving would fix that. The driving around pumped raw gas into my catalytic converter and wrecked that, too. Plus, when they replaced the spark plugs they decided to replace all the coils for a cost to me of $400 - Ford said if a coil was bad they should have only replaced the one, not all of them. I called a few times with no response. Finally got ahold of them and they wanted an extremely high price for the repair - Almost as much as the dealer. I then wrote them a letter stating the report from Ford, the valve place, what they found, etc., and received no response from Milhausen. I hate giving bad reviews, but I just don't want anyone else to run into a problem like this. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. Even the dealer. It will be less expensive by the time...
Read morei have done business with them for 3 yrs now and they have helped me in alot of ways by either fixing what is wrong themselves for a reasonable rate or by simply guiding me to what is wrong and explaining how to fix it when i decide to be a d.i.y.- ive bought 3 cars from them over the years and had good success with the first two but the last one is really having issues- alot of people would trash talk for having bought a car like that but its part of the gamble of buying used. travis- the owner- has been truthful with me on purchases made from thier lot- he will tell you straight out yes i have looked over the vehicle and its good or it needs some work or if he hasnt gotten to look at it he will let you know that you know more about the car than he does if you have test drove it then asked. ive bought cars from a well known 99 dollar down lot that advertises frequently that sounds alot like bar cop and that company will lie thier head off to make a sale where as travis wont- the other lot says yes our mechanics have been through these cars and thier great runners next thing ya know your replacing wiring harnesses or motors or trannys. this is why i make a point of refering milhausen...
Read moreI just moved out to the area this spring and they are around the corner from me. I had a very bad oil leak on my new Chevy (well new to me 2021) and I was fairly sure I knew what it was. I had to be to work that last Monday by noon and they already had a booked schedule. Travis got it in and out of there in 90 minutes and it was what I thought it was, popped a seal in the cold and was overdue an oil change and that is all he charged me for. I can't recommend this place enough. I brought my other car over the same day for a tire repair and leak check. I have very bad trust issues with mechanics after the last place's mechanic used my old car for spare parts to outfit his older version of my vehicle. Travis has earned my trust in a very short time. The staff is...
