Harps Food Stores — Local services in Morrilton

I've been shopping here for over 10 years now. When I first moved here it was Big Star. Since the changes in names lots of change has taken place. I'm running out of reasons to shop here. The prices tend to be outrageous. I do appreciate the pick 5 immensely. The deli has gone downhill in quality and selection. Really dislike the removal of the smoked pork butt from the cooler, cheeseball isn't as good as it used to be, not as many goodies in the cooler. The produce section quality comes and goes in spurts. I can't figure out why a black mushy avacodo would be still available for purchase, much less 8 of them and not 1 edible one to be found. I now only buy meats, milk, eggs and items I'm unable to find at the other local grocery stores if I must have them for a meal. Compared to some of the nice Harp's I've been in this one doesn't come close to nice. They took the time to remodel the outside and failed to...

They don't want your business. I won't be back.

I've tried this Harp's two times. The first visit I and everyone else in line had to wait 5 minutes while the cashier had a private conversation with a friend of theirs. There were no other check-out options.

The second time I came at 8:15 and immediately heard of the loudspeaker " it's 8:15 and harps will be closing in 45 minutes. Please bring your purchases to the checkout counter." Then, " it's 8:20 in harps will be closing in 40 minutes, please bring your purchases to the checkout counter." Then, " it's 8:25 in harps will be closing in 35 minutes. Please bring your purchases to the checkout counter." And so on, every 5 minutes.

So I'll be shopping across the street at Walmart from here on out. The prices are better, they don't make you wait in line, and they don't push you out the door an hour...

Went in to get a chicken dinner,asked the lady if they had 2 thighs she said yes so I told her I wanted the 2 thighs and okra and Mac and cheese,my son got the 3 piece chicken strip meal,I should have checked our meals before we left but we get home and I have 1 thigh and 1 leg,my son had no gravy for his potatoes and we had no rolls,called them before I realized I had 1 leg and 1 thigh and asked them about the gravy and rolls,they said come back up we will give you the gravy and rolls so my son goes up there to get it and I look at my meal to realize I didn't have 2 thighs and so I called to tell them and they said well bring it back and we will fix it but my son had already left and I told them I wouldn't be back,if the lady would have listened she would have known...
