I've been a customer for almost 2 years and yesterday was the straw that broke the camel's back. I only purchased the quart of white rice @ $2.50 plus tax, which comes to $2.74. On 5/18/2022, I purchased the white rice and used my bank card for $2.74. The tall man with the long hair and glasses cashed me out without incident. On 5/19/2022, I came back to purchased another quart of white rice. This time I was told the charge was $3.00. I advised the guy with the Linda Ronstadt hair do, that I was here yesterday and purchased the same quart of rice for $2.74. I am not petty about 26 cents, however, I expect them to be consistent in their pricing. The guy got the lady to address the issue. As I told her that I come here often and you all are trying to charge me more for the same items purchased the day before. She said, that it's a $5.00 minimum to use a debit or credit card. I said the guy the checked me out yesterday, nor anytime I've come into, I've never been told that. I showed her the receipt from the previous days purchase of white rice at $2.74. She said oh, I'll make it easy and just charge you 2.75. I told her that I would pay $2.74 as I have always done. The menu indicates a price of $2.50.
1st off the food is disgusting and the place smells like a sewer. I've seen dead bugs at the front entryway. The entry doors haven't been cleaned in years. It's a shame when a local business in this small town tries to take advantage of long-term customers. I wonder what the Health Department has given them as a score monthly because you never see it posted so the general public knows how they are doing. I won't be getting any more white rice from here. Clearly they don't appreciate customers or...
Read moreAfter reading multiple conflicting reviews on this place, I went ahead and rolled the dice and tried it. The reviews here are either spectacularly good or horrific.
My final conclusion after dining, is that it is a typical Chinese buffet. Multiple reviews said that the food was cold, every one of the dishes I tried was a fine serving temperature. Nothing was cold. Again, this is not a trendy, gourmet Asian-fusion kind of place. I travel often and have had Chinese buffets all over the country. This one ranks right in the middle. Certainly not the best, but far from the worst.
The service was fair, my drink stayed filled. The price was comparable with what you would expect from any Chinese buffet. The place is pretty clean. The decor could use a little updating. They were attentive to the buffet stations. They were all filled and actively being wiped down.
They even gave me a free calendar on my way out. Next time I'm in town and wanting Chinese food, I will most likely...
